We are proud to support the National Campaign For The Arts. @campaign4arts We call upon the government, arts council and local authorities to reevaluate and build upon their commitments to supporting artists, arts organisations and the creative community through this time and into the future. It is important that the value arts brings to society is recognised through adequate and proportional support, and brought in line with our European counterparts. We all need to begin to recognise that the arts have an intrinsic role in supporting our society's well-being, and for this it is vital to improve the support in the arts, to sustain our cultural future in Ireland. This is all said with the awareness that we have a health and homeless crisis in this country that is shameful, along with many inequalities left in our society from race, sexuality, gender and culture; meaning many of our friends, families and fellow citizens are still fighting for equality and a home. We aim to address these issues in our upcoming exhibition programme in the coming years, to provide a voice to the unheard and a platform for the marginalised. We want to THANK YOU! our friends and followers for your continued support over the past 14 years, and we look forward to continuing to provide exhibition opportunities both here and abroad and creative workspace for artists in the coming years. The arts gave us hope in a crisis. Missing the opening of @ciac.la this evening (small new human Maud insisted I stay in Ireland this time) Delighted to see it come to life after a year of planning and pulled off perfectly as always by the force of nature @matthewnevin ..with the help of @jenn_mcguirk , Katherine Nolan, @guyseriou5 and Jenny Minniti Shippy of course! @amandacooganartist doing the most beautiful work and performance this evening so to be sure to go 6pm LA time to see the Launch of the centre!! #FOMO #PROUD
