The first time I heard and saw the frame drum being played something ancient within me was awakened. A knowing, a remembrance, a calling to return and to reclaim a piece within that had been quiet and forgotten for too long.
The frame drums origins are from ancient times, used as a sacred instrument of the priestesses. The voice of the frame drum represented and honored as a voice for the cosmic mother. A voice that in today's world is often overshadowed, and missing in our world leadership, a voice that is sorely needed in todays landscape to be reclaimed and empowered.
The frame drum has been a powerful teacher for me, reconnecting me with my own voice and giving me a tool to remember my own connection to the divine feminine wisdom of the world, and reclaiming my own innate power.
I am so excited to have my dear friend and frame drum mentor Miranda Rondeau as a guest teacher in our upcoming program Reclaiming Radiance.
Through the frame drum Miranda will lead us through the journey of reclaiming our drum and voice as a sacred tool of remembrance. It is a treat and honor to welcome her as she brings incredible wisdom, devotion and inspiration through all she creates and shares.

Dear friends I am so excited to share an excerpt from a new Nava Dance Installation, “On Wings of Love.” It is our deepest prayer that our sisterhood and our dance can somehow touch people’s hearts and be a soothing balm during these heartbreaking times. We come together from many different lands, cultures, religions and backgrounds. Nava Dance Collective has roots coming from- Iran, North Africa, Eastern Europe, Afghanistan, Buchara, Korea, China, Vietnam, Mexico, Russia, Ukraine and more....with spiritual practices from Baha’i, Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Shamanic, Pagan, Buddhist and more traditions. We hold a wide container for all, that is a safe and loving space for us to come together in divine feminine worship, reclaiming what is ours and what has always been true. God lives in the body and through our dance we shine that light to the whole world. May our dance gently pierce the heardened hearts, may our dance be a cry for unity, a cry for the liberation of the oppressed and a prayer for PEACE on this earth NOW and forever. Amen. 🙏
This dance was birthed during my retreat in Crete last Summer (the song “Ta Poulia” is in Greek) and it came to life here on the Pacific shores of Northern California, Marin headlands. Crete has always been a place of deep inspiration for me, and I am already getting very excited about this Summer’s immersion! Breathe Into Love: Balancing the Divine Union Within 🪷 We had a beautiful gathering this past weekend here at Luminae with @chunmui and @shireen_joon weaving together sound healing, plant wisdom, breath, and ritual.
In these times when the world feels heavy and distorted in polarity, we are called to come together in unity and find harmony within ourselves. The ceremonial tea of blue lotus, sacred botanical scents, and vibrational medicine of live instruments guided us into a resonant field of deep presence, nervous system recalibration, and healing balance of the mind and heart. With breath and grace, we tended to our hearts and the grief, fear, and overwhelm that many of us have been carrying. Through harmonizing our inner polarities and coming to more wholeness within ourselves, we fortified our ability to be present, clear, and steady in these times.
May you continue tending to the altar of your heart and contribute to the activation of a more coherent and compassionate world. ❤️
This past weekend we had the pleasure to serenade a group of 30 amazing women at the beautiful retreat center @rituellife in the Topanga Canyon hills overlooking the ocean at sunset. In moments when the world feels fragile or uncertain, we are reminded how essential it is to gather - not to escape what is happening, but to root more deeply into presence.
We are honored to be hosting BREATHE INTO LOVE-an immersive experience of sound, breath and ritual at Luminae Wellness Studio in Berkeley,Ca.
At the heart of this offering is the theme of Divine Union within.
Divine Union is the balancing of our inner polarities — heart and mind, intuition and intellect, receptivity and action. It is the healing and empowerment of the sacred feminine and sacred masculine forces that live within each of us.
When these forces are imbalanced, we feel divided.
When they are harmonized, we feel whole.
We believe the call of this time is not only outer change - but inner integration. As we learn to harmonize these polarities within ourselves, we contribute to the activation of a more coherent and compassionate world.
This evening weaves together:
Breath as prayer.
Sound as medicine.
Ritual as remembrance.
Plants as ancient allies.
Through live sacred music, guided breath, ceremonial tea, scent, and intentional space, we enter into a field designed to harmonize heart and mind and steady the nervous system.
This gathering is intentionally intimate so that the field can be held with care.
