WORTH THE WAIT
This will be year 12 since my mother lost the battle with her illness. I remember first attending this concert and the joy I felt in my community doing its part to help fight against #cancer.
To debut my first piece on a program produced by
@erinfogartyb and
@dpulbricht @nycitycenter for
@danceagainstcancer was an honor. Even more humbling was getting to share the stage and experience with artists from virtually every area of my creative life.
From my
@wesleyan_u college mate Guillermo Brown
@pegasuswarning , to my former Hairspray Musical cast mate
@shobean all participating b/c we each got the call to help this cause, it was like a lifetime of artistry coming together and
@a_ballerina_ did the dang thing on that stage๐ค๐พ๐ซถ๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ.
To contribute what we could to help the
@americancancersociety get the needed support towards saving as many lives as possible is more than a worthy cause it was WORTH THE WAIT!
Some essential acknowledgments to special individuals who made the process possible
@adelmancharles and
@dgadelman ,
@mermaid11964 and
@stuarthcoleman , John and
@jodyarnhold , my fellow
@wes_alumni @eurygerm '16 and
@chrssydenny '22, as well my dearest
@valentinasofficial and Lutin Tanner
@lutinliquidlighting -- Thank you so very much_๐ซ๐๐พ๐โโ๏ธ
๐ฃA call to all...This fight isn't over, and our raising of funds continues on as we reach for our $450,000 goal. Now at $435,000, do consider donating to DACNY.org. Year is still young and there is always more we can do together๐ป
