My latest trajectory has led me to create a collection of vessels ‘Plume’ in the honour and spirit of the work I collect and admire.
Artists whom I share a sensibility with and those with a devotion to bold and eloquent designs.
In my own works, feather-like drawings embellish relatively simple and smooth forms. Since my early youth, typography has been a significant influence on me, this I believe is evident. I would often marvel at characters moving in space with common stylistic ground. Throughout my life, my drawings have demonstrated this. In this body of work and more than a decade of working in ceramics, I have found a canvas for a past and influences I cannot erase from memory.
