They thought we were through, but honey it’s just the BEGINNING! You will not want to miss this night of show business shenanigans! . . . What a bittersweet moment to share with my colleagues of the Ryan Opera Center, our final performance of the 2025/26 season. This night is the culmination of all the hard work, growth, and exploration we found here as young artists. Every member of this group has a uniqueness, and boundless potential for building an international following, l I wish each of them joy and abundance on their artistic journeys. @singincanary612 @finn_sagal @alexis_peart @_benjaminrsokol @husihao_singer @camille.robles13 @travon.d.walker @pupxtte @chiyuanlin_070 @gemma.d.c @lepatron4 @michaelbanwarthpiano @danielluisespinal @rickyyrichter Thank you to each of you for everything you inspire within me.

UPDATE: I am more than thrilled to arrive in Nashville for my debut with the Nashville Symphony in one of the most favorited, coveted, and prolific works in the canon. Verdi’s Requiem still stands as my personal favorite concert piece to sing, not just because of its loud dramatic orchestral hits, flourishing scale variations, or the boisterous choral passages, but rather its supernaturally evocative melodies, pastiched amidst pregnant silences. I hope you’ll join us at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center November 6 thru 8 at 7:30pm to see for yourself! Source: nashvillesymphony.org A soul-stirring choral tour de force. Verdi’s Requiem is opera and redemptive music fused into one dramatic masterpiece, complete with dramatic drums, blazing brass, swirling strings, and vibrant vocal solos. Experience the majesty of the Nashville Symphony and Nashville Symphony Chorus, under the skilled baton of conductor José Luis Gomez. From the terrifying “Dies Irae” to the tender final prayer, you’ll have an unforgettable evening and enjoy soul-gripping music. Nashville Symphony & Chorus | José Luis Gomez, conductor | Tucker Biddlecombe, chorus director | Katie Van Kooten, soprano | Kelley O’Connor, mezzo-soprano | Rodrick Dixon, tenor | Chris Humbert, bass A huge thank you to my team at @opus3artists for facilitating this quick jump-in! Thank you to @lyricopera and the Ryan Opera Center social media team for this feature! I’m so grateful to be spending my last season here growing under this team, and bringing some new roles to life on the stage! Read more below for a brief synopsis on my journey to becoming an opera singer! - Meet Ryan Opera Center bass-baritone, Christopher Humbert, Jr.! 1️⃣ First opera seen: “My first opera ever seen was “Hansel and Gretel” (Humperdinck) I remember it because my teacher at the time was a professor at @bwconservatory and made every effort to get her high school immersed in the art form!” 🎭 Most relatable opera character: “ Dr. Dulcamara (Donizetti’s “The Elixir of Love”) because who doesn’t love stirring up some good mischief. 😈 “ 🎨 Hobbies outside of opera: “ I really enjoy writing and arranging/recording music, typically electronic, house or experimental. Hopefully I will be releasing an EP in the coming year!” 🎶 What made you pursue a career in opera? “Opera was always the place I felt at home as a lower-voiced man. I also had some great encouragement from my mentors and teachers as well, who showed me exactly what was possible!” ❣️ What are you looking forward to most in the 2025/26 Season? “I am so looking forward to working with both old and new friends here at Lyric, as well as performing new roles and types of repertoire on the stage!”
