Decided to see what all the hype was about + try out the AI that’s going to demolish my industry and, well… it’s going to demolish my industry. I was pleasantly surprised, though, at how difficult it was to create this film. Every single individual shot was its own mini-project that required iteration and intentional thought. Camera angles, motion, lighting, “performance”, setting, props… all of it required painfully specific and carefully phrased prompting. Was it invigorating to “direct” a project that I’d realistically never be able to shoot irl? Yup. Was it absolutely terrifying to see just how accessible “production” on this scale is going to become? Also yup. Future’s a scary place y’all.
Anyway help me win this contest so I can have money to use on real films!!

Hey y’all — very excited to announce my latest project, a short horror film entitled Let Us Out that I am writing + directing as the capstone of my MFA program! We’ve assembled a crazy talented group of people, all of whom are excited to bring this story to life in only a few short weeks. To illustrate just how cool + creepy the real film is going to be, enjoy this teaser trailer I shot with my incredibly patient sister @jessallann . My team and I would be immensely grateful for any + all donations we receive, as we’re going to be building out costly sets within state-of-the-art studios and soundstages to make this film happen. Follow @letusout.film and head over to the link in my bio to check out our campaign and learn more about the film! Stay spooky 👻
