In Nature, change is constant. And so much has changed since I last used Instagram as my public journal. Both in the external world and the world within me. So many episodes - each with lessons and blessings 📖 🎁 At some point last year I found myself losing an emotion that I took for granted - Joy. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It was an opportunity to slow down further and find deeper gratitude for myself, others and life. It was an opportunity to take even more responsibility for being a better person. It was an opportunity to be more intentional by emboding the Framwork of intention @frameworkofintention more. Now I’m at an even greater and more mindful level of joy despite greater external reasons to not be 🥰 I want this for everyone. However change begins from within and everyone’s responsible for their own joy. So I can only hope that my reflections about my journey rediscovering joy helps someone else rediscover theirs — especially in these trying times 🫂 I’m grateful for my family and my friends who were present and there for me during that season. I ask that the divine creator - Chiukwu, replenish the energy you all gave me 🧡 I’m also grateful for the joy Nature gives. We’re excited to officially launch Greener Cities Collective 🌳 Greener Cities Collective was born from a shared vision by @akankastudio @ekondolife , @edenbotanical_garden , and @uzoma.studio to reimagine our cities and communities as greener, healthier, and more sustainable spaces. Through eco-garden creation, tree planting, and the promotion of sustainable living and working environments, we are taking practical steps toward that future. In just the past 12 months, we have: 🌳 Planted over 100 trees 🌿 Established 10+ school gardens 👩🏽‍🏫 Engaged and educated 200+ students 🌱 Trained and inaugurated dedicated tree guardians 🤝 Collaborated with Climate-change organization, FCT Abuja And this is only the beginning. As we grow, we’re looking to partner with corporate organizations, communities, and changemakers to drive meaningful social, economic, and environmental impact—locally and beyond. BTS Southside 5.0 - In a heavily digitized, distracted and disconnected world, how can you get people to prioritize connecting to themselves, to others and to Nature? Create a public Sanctuary of Nature, then create a festival. In essence — a plant party where people can come to play games and win plants. That won’t be the answer many would choose, but it’s one we @akankadesign and @ekondolife chose — and for 5 years we’ve been grateful for how many plant parents this choice has created 🙏🏾👨🏾‍🌾👩🏾‍🌾 On Saturday, 6th of December is our 5th edition — SouthSide 5.0. We’ve got 1,000+ plants to be won, ranging from herbs, trees, & indoor plants. We’ve got creative workshops like pottery, painting and tie & dye. We’ve got games like shooting range, ring toss, Ekondo Grid, board and card games, table tennis. We’ve got great DJ’s, delicious food/drinks and incredible art exhibitions.
