🗣️ I’m excited to finally be able to share publicly that my company @eatopianeats was selected as a national winner of the @leeinitiative Black Kitchen Initiative (BKI) grant. The BKI is a partnership between Heinz, The LEE Initiative, and the Southern Restaurants for Racial Justice that supports Black-owned food businesses to sustain and grow, preserving Black culinary legacies. Thank you everyone who has helped me in my food journey to get me to this point. Special thanks to: ✨ @festivalfactoryevents : You provided me with my first food vending opportunity in Norfolk, VA. We will forever be locked in. ✨@dcdpr : Thank for the opportunity to work on your communal farms showing the community my global approach to produce and introduce to the public to new flavors and techniques. ✨ @blackwomeninfood : Thank you for the support you and the audience showed me at the 2024 conference when I cried on stage sharing my story of being force to close my cafe a month earlier. ✨@gwul365 : Thank you for the opportunity provided through 2023 BRAP accelerator program. The connections I made still continue today ✨@doldc : Thank you for the opportunity to share my knowledge and expertise with other food entrepreneurs. Your letter of reference made me realize the impact I have in our community. ✨ @ujimadmv : Thhank you for the opportunity to collaborate and work with the Blackout, Our Space World, @federationofsoutherncoop . Your letter of reference brought tears to my eyes. I’ve never felt that seen before in the work that I’ve been doing. ✨ Thanks to the team behind me of family, friends, and colleagues that have supported me along the way. To the @leeinitiative for providing a platform of support for other like minded culinarians to spread and continue to move Black food culture forward. You will forever be part of my evolution story. BRB.....I was called up to the majors ⚽️⚽️⚽️ Excited to announce that I am serving as the Stadium Catering Operations Manager for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup for the Washington, DC June circuit. In my role, I will serve as the FIFA liaison working with Audi Field and its in house caterer, Levy Restaurants to manage the Stadium Catering Operations which provides food for the teams, staff, and volunteers. See you back in the kitchen in July✨✨✨

Today, I had to make the decision to not let you suffer any longer. I tried for months to do everything I knew how to do to save you. You died in my arms while I professed my love for you. God brought us together during a blizzard in January 2010 and for 15 years, you have been my constant companion. Thru the ups and downs in my life you always touched my face to comfort me. You were unlike any cat I've ever experienced. You drooled while you purred, took commands like a dog, were so comfortable that you always laid in your back, and could always make me laugh. GOD: I'm so grateful for this opportunity to share my food ideas with the masses. Every day fans come up to me thanking me for being at the stadium. I'm like, "No thank you! Your feedback on past vegan food is what got me here!" It's humbling to see the fans reaction to my food especially the ones that stop and don't even realize that it's all vegan. I pray for the endurance to continue to be creative, for the continued patience to deal with life's chaos, and the peace within knowing that everything I've ever done had lead me here. To God be the glory🎉🎉 I am overjoyed to share this news of my largest grant award to date. Thank you to Capital Impact Partners, @cdcloans , and @momentuscapital for seeing my vision and believing in my mission. My goal is to expand the thought of what is healthy eating through global flavor profiles. Teaching people to take control of their health. Making plant-based food that even non plant-based people would eat. Since most medicines have a basis in botany, why not just eat more plants? Read the whole press release in my bio.
