Spring Menu at Marcus DC! 🌿

@marcuscooks has consistently been a restaurant where I have had some of my favorite DC dining experiences— so it’s absolutely no surprise to me that they have been named finalists for three RAMMYS awards this year— New Restaurant of the Year,
@chefrachelsherriffe for Pastry Chef of the Year, and
@chefanthonyj for Rising Culinary Star of the Year! 🌟
I recently had a tasting of some of their new spring dishes, and I loved every bite! 😋
🍊 Oak Leaf Salad with mint, campari vinaigrette, labne, pomegranate, kiwi, and pink grapefruit.
🥝 Peppered Tuna Crudo with scallion, ajo amarillo, kiwi, cucumber.
💙 Of course we had to have their signature Blue Cornbread with yassa butter and berbere honey!
🫛 Roasted Black Bass with herb curry and spring peas.
🥩 Dry Aged NY Strip with cambray onion, guajillo jus, oyster mushroom.
The meal finished just as strong as it started with delicious desserts by
@chefrachelsherriffe ! 🍰
🍓 Strawberry Breton with lime leaf ice cream, dehydrated strawberries, strawberry sauce. The lime leaf ice cream everything!
🥧 Buttermilk Tart with green tomato sorbet, cornmeal, shiso caramel. I could serious eat this a million times 🤭
🍬 An assortment of tasty mignardes!
We also enjoyed a few tasty cocktails with our meal! 🍹
🌸 Blushing Root— dark & light rum, mauby bark, hibiscus • flirtatiously earthy twist on the daquiri - botanical & smooth
🤎 Velvet Detour— tamarind, cognac, lemon juice • smoothness, luxury, and soft texture
🍊 Abyssinian Blaze— berbere spice, gin, campari • fiery & warm with a smooth texture
🍅 Solara— blanco tequila, vine tomato, citrus • sun-kissed and fresh, with warmth and citrus
