This week, I had the opportunity to step aboard
@oceaniacruises as they made a pit stop in Malaysia during their grand voyage. Safe to say, this is the epitome of aquatic luxury.
Known for having some of the finest food at sea and often described as a āfloating gallery,ā the ship is layered with Picassos, Mirós, and Pfaffs, alongside restaurants curated by Jacques PĆ©pin himself. Turns out, 180 days on board doesnāt feel like quite enough. From here, theyāre continuing on to Africa, traversing the south and west - before eventually looping back to Europe where it all began.
What I found especially compelling is how immersive each experience is. At each destination, guests are invited to explore local markets alongside the chefs, foraging for ingredients that are later transformed into meals on board, and with one dedicated chef for every six guests, the level of detail exceeds all expectations.
I was also particularly taken by Toscana (think: Versace tableware, intricate bird mosaics, and true Italian classics) and Polo: An ode to old-world Americana with an equestrian flair (leather saddle chairs!) that feels straight out of Ralph Lauren campaign. Between the spa, the bars, a casino, a library and 11 decks housing 600 cabins, itās almost impossible to run out of things to do or people to meet.
At
@oceaniacruises , their three immersions/ philosophies are: destination, cultural, and culinary. Having experienced it firsthand, I can now confidently say this is something I need to do properly, at least once in this lifetime.
Thank you
