Seattle. How I love you! You were my late twenties and early thirties home. 5 years. You taught me so much. You helped me learn how to be all in. I met so many of my lifetime loves.
And now youβve hosted the third ever book talk for Free the People to Free the Money to Free the People. π π π π³ π π Thank you for coming out and celebrating with @diaryofababa , @v.mijo , @chereonchen and I.
Thanks to our cosponsors @svp.seattle , @donorsofcolor , @inataifdn and Progress Alliance of Washington.
Photos below from our third ever book talk, this time in my second home of Seattle, Washington with so many leaders, friends and colleagues I deeply respect and cherish in this work. I particularly loved the chance to share the stage with Seattle based contributors to the anthology, Mijo and Sharon.
Thank you to everyone who helped make it possible!
May we build the cross-class coalitions we need to repair and rebuild.

In the midst of intense change and chaos trying to stay grounded with a small home garden which is feeding me this morning. Everything on this plate was grown a few feet away. Grateful for the earth and its magic.
@chereonchen , board chair of @donorsofcolor Action, board member of @womendonors and emeritus president of the Progress Alliance of Washington is a powerhouse in the world of progressive donor organizing.
She brings the heart and the clarity with a message every progressive wealthy person needs to hear...go towards your people, organize them, take responsibility for them, believe in them!
As she says...
"If not me, then who."
"If I believe in my own redemption, then why wouldn't I believe in other people's redemption."
Thank you Sharon!!! π―π₯ππππ
I thought this would be a good follow-up to the clip from my interview with Linda Burnham. Sharon is a techie taking responsibility for her class and her people. So needed in this moment.
Interview coming soon on the Substack.
