đ FRENCH-INSPIRED BRITISH SEAFOOD đđđ
đ @Orion.byAlexWebb
đ Wimbledon Station
Orion by @ChefWebb1 is a French-inspired and British seafood led restaurant in Wimbledon Village. Orion blends classical technique with seasonal produce, ensuring the ingredients are as British as can be.
Alex Webb is a former winner of @MasterChefUK : The Professionals (2020) and boasts a resume working in multiple Michelin starred restaurants.
We couldnât resist an ApĂŠritif of Oysters from Carlingford; these oysters were seriously huge and fresh - such a great way to start our meal alongside a glass of bubbles. Small plates include Seabass crudo and Webbâs celebrated lobster and prawn toast with black sesame with lime chilli and carrot puree. The Pan-seared Halibut fillet was the pick of the main courses. Orion also has a daily specials board with catches of the day and if seafood is not your thing there are meat and vegetarian options such as lamb rump, fillet steak, grilled cauliflower steak and the larger sharing cuts of beef ribeye.
Orion is a welcome edition to the Wimbledon Village restaurant scene. Although it is a seafood led restaurant there are certainly enough options for meat lovers. The restaurant is fresh and bright and if you catch it on a sunny day like we did it will feel like you are on holiday.
There is a seafood bar and an open kitchen where you can see Alex and his team preparing your meal. There is a good selection of drinks, including cocktails, wine and bubbles. It is also worth keeping an eye out for special menus, such as half priced oysters (we would defo return for these), whilst the man himself (Alex) informed us the team are working on a new lunch menu, with lighter bites such as mussels and chips and salads already on the menu.

Chicken liver parfait, grilled brioche, burnt pear & tarragon jam.
Rich, sweet, lightly smoked and finished with fresh tarragon notes.
A new addition to our spring small plates.
Few words to say other than get yourself down to @orion.byalexwebb if you fancy unbelievable food, great service, in a relaxed but buzzy setting.
@chefwebb1 - youâve absolutely smashed it đ *invite
New seafood restaurant in Wimbledon Village by Masterchefâs Alex Webb đŚ
@orion.byalexwebb beautiful space, super attentive team and of course outstanding food. My highlights (which Iâd 100% recommend trying):
- Tuna tartare served in prawn cracker (how fun?!)
- Lobster and prawn toast (sooo scrumptious)
- Halibut fillet (super delicate, served with Champagne berru blanc)
- Chocolate mousse (served tableside!)
Definitely worth venturing out to Wimbledon for.

Letâs make and plate something fresh.
Seabass crudo, lifted with citrus and paired with a smooth avocado purĂŠe. Red pepper adds a gentle sweetness, while buttermilk dressing and onion oil bring balance and depth.
Light, bright and perfectly composed for the season.
Join us and try it for yourself.
