Ladies and Gentlemen, The face of your "Most Promising Young Chef of The Year." If you've been an avid follower, you know it's story time. First, I'd like to thank God for being intentional about me. I'm nothing without Him because His grace and favor speak for me. I honestly didn't see this coming. Finishing culinary school, there wasn't any direction. I was literally about to dive into uncharted waters, but I knew I wanted to be in the culinary industry. I wanted to leave a mark, express my passion for food, and so the journey began. I'm super grateful to @capanigeria for this award. This one means a lot to me because on some days, I ask myself why I'm doing this, and on some days, the passion burns brighter. I'm super grateful to the My chefs who opened their arms and gave me the opportunity to work with them @moyo_rb @thechef.tucker . To all the amazing chefs out there who taught me, imparted knowledge, saw me, supported me and acknowledged my zeal, this small girl is grateful. This award is a reminder to keep pushing and doing more. It's only up from here. By God's grace, I won't disappoint you all. This award is for you, Pops. Thank you my guardian Angel 🤍🕊️

Embarking on an extraordinary odyssey, from my birthplace in Kenya to my upbringing in Rwanda, my educational years in Uganda, and countless visits to other East African nations, all while proudly embracing my Nigerian heritage, I must confess that my childhood was nothing short of an exhilarating adventure. Immersed in these diverse cultures from an early age, I developed a deep appreciation for their flavors. These early memories, woven into the very fabric of my being, have ignited a profound fire within me that continues to fuel my passion today. Today, I am delighted to introduce Oluwaseyitan, the East African Nigerian Chef. Taking you on an intimate journey of food through my background, every dish in this series is a reflection of my personal story, carrying whispers of my childhood, woven with cherished memories and treasured moments. Through flavors, aromas, and textures, I share with you the love, joy, and essence of my upbringing, evoking emotions that transcend borders and ignite a sense of unity and connection. Embarking on a culinary journey, where love, authenticity, and the vibrant tapestry of East Africa and Nigeria merge into a symphony of flavors that will leave an everlasting imprint on how food has become a universal language through which I express love. Join me as I pour my heart and soul into every creation, celebrating the flavors that have shaped me and the joy that emerges when passion meets the plate. Mercy & Dami Mercy my guy, congratulations once again. I’m truly grateful we were able to show up fully and deliver on your big day. From the very beginning, it was meetings upon meetings, conversations upon conversations—and through it all, you both were always available, patient, and intentional in walking us through your vision and thought process. That made all the difference. Documenting your wedding was on another level. The calm strength and composure from Dami, paired with Mercy’s incredible attention to detail, created such a beautiful balance. You could feel the love, the peace, and the purpose in every moment, and it made shooting you both an absolute joy. Thank you for trusting us with such an important chapter of your lives. It was truly an honor to tell your story. May God bless your new home with love, understanding, laughter, and endless joy. 🤍✨ Couple: @forevertheeds Bride: @chefseyitan Make-up artist: @thekatchyglam Dress: @stitchesbylaura Grooms fit @_thediamen Shoes:@handbagandco Accessories: @annaandcojewelrybackup_ Nails: @zubvier Hairstylist: @_hairbybrown Photography: @femigabriels Bridal Assistant: @oreiyawo.co Event Coordinator: @eventsbyyoki

Shoutout to all chefs out there! The backbreaking days, the rollercoaster of emotions, the sore feet, the moments when there’s just no zeal, when it feels like the passion has flown out the window. To the days where we just don’t feel like it. Yet, at the end of the day/service, what truly matters is the joy that comes with it all the laughter, the tears, the endless washing, the sleepless nights, and the long hours. Today, I raise a glass to every one of us who, in one way or another, has held a torch and shone it for the younger ones like myself to follow. Happy International Chefs’ Day!
