I still can’t believe it. I vividly remember walking by the
@beardfoundation House in Manhattan wondering what it looked like inside. More times than I’d like to admit if I’m going to be honest about it. Ever since I was a young cook I dreamed of being able to cook at this level. To tell a story of authenticity and truth based in love for food and most importantly people. That’s always been the goal. Today I found out that I have been nominated for Best Chef in the Southwest and I could not be more thankful. To my family, the beautiful people of The Great State of New Mexico and to my team. This team, let me tell you. Few words can properly describe my gratitude to this team for truly sticking with me through thick and absolute thin. They’ve seen me at my worse time and time again yet have stood true to our purpose, our process and our belief that if we don’t give up and we honor the commitment, that the sky is the limit. We try hard to make every service count. They show up early and they stay late. This is for theirs, this is my family’s and this is New Mexico’s. Let’s keep pushing forward.
