Our HBO Doc Series, “God Save Texas” is now available on
@streamonmax today! We started production on Rick’s episode, “Hometown Prison “ late 2019, and helped Ili’s episode “La Frontera” cross the finish line in late 2022. Needless to say, those pandemic years halted a lot. So to finally see the series complete is an amazing sight!
Had a fun time at Sundance in January as well, too many good times with friends and memories to count! Please check out the series if you can. I’ll leave y’all with some previous words that help sum up the experience for me.
It was my honor to film the HBO series “God Save Texas - Hometown Prison” and portions of “God Save Texas - La Frontera”.

This was my first opportunity to work alongside Rick back in 2019, who undoubtedly shaped so much of my filmmaking aspirations growing up in the deserts of Texas. It is an experience among others I will always cherish and be grateful for! On top of that, being able to contribute to the El Paso episode brings hometown pride with fellow denizen Iliana!
I’m so thankful to Rick, Ili and the entire team for the opportunity to showcase these portraits in a place more than 30 million people call home! 🇨🇱🤠🇨🇱 (We know it’s the Chilean flag, we’re eternally trying to fix this with the Unicode Emoji Subcommittee!) Congrats to all!
