Story time! 😁
Often people ask me how I got to DJ at Wembley, something I’ve been lucky enough to do for 3 years now.
I first stepped up to the decks at Wembley on the 5th September 2021 for England V Andorra after quitting my job that summer and signing up to be an Assistant Producer on a whim.
I was working at a job that I didn’t really enjoy when I was approached by a company to go on the road with them for 2 weeks as a freelance AP - when I was offered the role, I didn’t even know what AP meant but I said yes anyway! The catch was that I had to start the next day so, after some time thinking (and stressing) about what to do, I decided to take the jump and leave my current secure job for this exciting new opportunity.
After 2 weeks on the road assistant producing other DJs (and making it very known that I could actually DJ myself!!) I was asked by the same company to come and help out at Wembley. Naturally, I said yes as I was now out of a job and unsure of what to do next.
The first time I was at Wembley, I was told that I would be assistant producing the banner parade (again, I had no clue what this meant when I said yes) and found myself at 7am on a pitch in Watford with 40+ military personnel and some giant banners! It was also pouring down with rain (slide 10 😂).
I was definitely out of my depth having to command all of these people as someone who had just discovered what an assistant producer was 2 weeks earlier but I persisted and eventually we got to Wembley and unravelled the banners on pitch just before kick-off. Things went smoothly but I thought this isn’t for me, music is where it’s at!
Luckily because I was still on the company’s radar from saying yes to this job, they asked me back to Wembley again but this time to help out with the music. The boss said that England were looking for a rebrand and wanted a playlist to put to the FA with some potential new songs to use. I jumped at the opportunity to show them my music knowledge and it turns out they liked what I did. As a result, I was put on the spot during a call with the FA where I was asked if I’d like to DJ at Wembley Stadium for the next England game.

Incredible scenes seeing @charstape drop ‘Reach Up’ at Wembley during the FA Cup Semi Finals last month ⚽️
Originally released by Perfecto Allstarz back in 1995, it’s amazing to see ‘Reach Up’ still causing a reaction over 30 years later.
Wonder if we’ll be hearing more of it at the final this weekend 👀
DJing for my country ❤️
I’ve been really lucky to DJ for England across three different sports this month:
📍 England Vs Australia Rugby @ Allianz Stadium
📍 England Vs Serbia Football @ Wembley Stadium
📍 England Vs New Zealand Netball @ Copper Box Arena & AO Arena
DnB for the rugby, England classics & crowd faves for the football and pop dance tracks for netball - versatility is the brand!! I also soundtracked some winning moments including the @silverfernsnz victory last week 🏆
The privilege of getting to do this as my job will never be lost on me, can’t wait for the @lionesses at Wembley this weekend 🫶🏻
@england@englandrugby@englandnetball
Never played Netball at school because I was too short so I’ve loved following it around the country this year as a DJ instead 😁
From a sold out O2 Arena in July, to the Copper Box last weekend and now the AO Arena for the Vitality International Series Final today 🫶🏻
Thank you @aditvled for bringing me in and for asking me to curate & edit the hype track for the @netballsl Grand Final at the big boy O2 (slide 2)
Hopefully it’s a win for @englandnetball tonight ❤️
Yesterday at Pride Park with the @lionesses as part of their Homecoming Series ❤️
I was asked to rework one of Sarina’s favourite Burna Boy tracks for the walkout, so I spent 24 hours producing a version fit for a Lioness stadium entrance 🦁🏟️
Massive love to @driiamusic on the original production, and to @burnaboygram & @teddysphotos for a song that feels huge and personal at the same time 🔥
Thanks also to @aditvled and to @art_of for the @sarina.wiegman tee of dreams 🫶🏻
Very grateful to play a small part in the atmosphere on days like this 😌
