It’s taken me a couple of days to fully soak it all in, and honestly, I'm still processing this incredible journey. Who would've ever thought I’d be crowned Top Chef Canada?! I think back to those early years when I was just a fan, watching chefs compete on TV, never imagining I’d be living that dream myself. This has been hands down the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my career, and I couldn’t be prouder to have represented Vancouver, Montreal, and even Windsor, ON. This win is for everyone out there working hard to achieve their dreams – especially for those who feel like they don’t fit the mold, for the queer community, and for the generations of immigrants pushing for a brighter future. I put my heart into every dish, winning 6 out of 15 challenges, and battling it out in the finale with two incredibly talented chefs, Moira and Haan – who will forever be friends. Huge thanks to all my friends who cheered me on every week, riding the emotional rollercoaster with me right through to the finale. And a big shout-out to my partner, Cameron, for always "challenging" me with peaches! It’s been over 10 years since Vancouver had a champion, and I am beyond honored to break the Top Chef Canada curse! Let’s goooooo!
