There is a reason that these helmeted guineafowl feature so prominently in African decorative art...they are pieces of art themselves.

Getting bigger by the week. The young white lion cub is growing quickly, and with each month that passes, the greater the hope that he will make it adulthood becomes...but there is a long road ahead for this little guy and his pride in the @timbavati_nr

This cub had no interest in the rest of the pride this afternoon. He found himself a dung ball and that was that… pushing it around, rolling onto it, completely entertained for a good few minutes. Then, as cubs do, he spotted movement where there probably should not have been any… the tail of one of the adults. That tuft did not stand a chance. Bitten, pawed, and given a proper shake, while the adult carried on as if nothing was happening. You can spend hours out here, and it is often the small moments like this that stick with you. #TandaTula #Timbavati #SafariLife #LionCub #BushMoments

A female leopard decides that being up a marula tree is not the best place to be as a storm approaches on a hot summer's afternoon at @tanda.tula in @southafrica 's @timbavati_nr

So what do people who live and work in the Greater Kruger do when they go on holiday? They visit the @krugernationalpark ! The weather was windy, rainy and cold - not ideal for game viewing, but it was really nice to spend time photographing things I don't usually get tp photograph - namely birds! One thing I realised was that they provide amazing photographic opportunities within the national park as they become so used to vehicle activity that they just don't fly away! This is the first time I have been able to photograph the gorgeous European bee-eater despite having tried to get an image for the past 20 years!

Its been a long wait, but after more than a decade, I got to see another white lion cub in the @timbavati_nr ...It's been something we have been hoping for and discussing since the potentially recessive-gene-carrying Birmingham Breakaway males took over the potentially recessive-gene-carrying Giraffe Pride. Turns out it was more than "potentially", and the recessive white genes found one another and produced a young male white lion cub, presently hiding on the banks of the Zebenine Riverbed in @tanda.tula 's western sections. May sightings of him and his tawny sister continue for months and years to come...and with some luck, the other litters presently hidden in the same area could also come out with this unique colouration...fingers crossed!

A rare pause at the waterhole. After the rush and the feast, even a hyena finds stillness, reflected in quiet blue. #TandaTula #ReflectionsInTheWild #SafariStillness #InBetweenMoments #AfricanWildlife

A morning in the Giraffe Pride nursery. One lioness carrying her tiny cub in that gentle but determined lion mum way, soon joined by two more little fluffballs tumbling after her. At the waterhole, the crèche grows. Another female with her seven slightly older youngsters, one bravely keeping up despite a noticeable limp, come together. The squeaks, chirps and tiny cub conversations are priceless. Turn your sound up and let the bush do the storytelling. 🎥 @chadcockingwildlifephotos #TandaTula #GiraffePride #LionCubs #GreaterKruger #WildAfrica #SafariMagic #Timbavati #LionessLove #ConservationInAction #BushMoments

It is always such a treat seeing a new face. Especially an unexpectedly relaxed one. This young female has been seen over the past couple of months, but I didn't hold my breathe for much of a sighting after hearing she was a little shy. I tried anyway, and soon found that she was a great deal more comfortable with my presence than I thought she would be, and treated us to a wonder scene as she approached a small dam for a sunset drink...magic! #timbavati #tandatula #greaterkruger #krugerpark #wildlifephotography #wildlife #bigcats #discoverwildpaws @tanda.tula @southafrica @natureismetal @wildlifeplanet @discovery.hd @wildlife.hd @natgeowild @natgeoyourshot @wildgeography @africageo @instagram_sa @earthfocus @latestkruger shots_of_animals @earthofficial @krugerexplorer @thedwproject @wildlife_bigcats @featured_wildlife
