Happy International Women’s Day! I’m proud to be a Latina, female-founded business!
Four years ago, right around this time, I made the biggest bet of my life—I bet on myself.
I turned my side-hustle into a full-time business and launched my own company
@cessiecpr . I took that leap and built a business on sheer delusion, faith, confidence, and the belief that the relationships I’ve built, the reputation I’ve worked hard for, and the quality of the work I’ve put out into the world would speak for itself.
Throughout my career journey I’ve been called all the things women get called—too emotional, too much, difficult, aggressive. Usually for things like speaking up, wanting more, taking the lead, or pushing back when something doesn’t feel right. You know the list. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been told to tone it down. But if we’re being real, those same labels are exactly what get things done!!
Here’s what I know: women are powerful. We lead with passion, strength, and resilience. Most of us have had to work twice as hard just to be taken seriously—and we still show up and get it done.
Happy International Women’s Day. May we continue paving the way, lifting each other up, and reminding the next generation of little girls that we are never “too much”—we are capable of everything our hearts desire, and we are always worthy of it. ✨
