We celebrate their curiosity, creativity, and hard work. They continue to show what’s possible with focus and determination.
And our staff truly showed up and showed out in support. We appreciate the energy, encouragement, and commitment to our students’ success.

Two of our Center City Brightwood (@centercitypcsbrightwood ) 8th graders testified at a public roundtable dedicated entirely to student voices on public education in DC, hosted by DC Council Chairman Phil Mendelson.
Uyiosa spoke about how our school’s academic rigor and extracurricular opportunities have pushed and challenged him to work at a higher level. Rhiley shared how our enrichment classes helped him discover a passion for dance, and how the arts give him a powerful outlet for self-expression while keeping him motivated across all of his classes. He also spoke about how our strong school community helps students feel safe to be themselves, take risks, and learn from their mistakes.
We couldn’t be prouder of Uyiosa and Rhiley for representing Brightwood so well and for capturing what makes our school community so special!

The Center City PCS NoMa (@centercitypcsnoma ) just kicked off a new reading initiative…NoMa Reads! NoMa Reads was designed to ignite the love of reading in all of our scholars and educators. The goal is for everyone to choose a book that calls them to explore a world filled with adventure and excitement.
Every morning the entire school stops to pick up their book of choice and reads. NoMa Reads is building the muscle that will strengthen our students passion for reading. 📚❤️
