Meet Professor Nick Tyler in the UCL Department of Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering (@cege_ucl ). He is the Director of PEARL (Person-Environment-Activity-Research Laboratory) and has dedicated his career at UCL to a radical idea: that we should design our world around how humans actually feel, move, and sense. At PEARL’s massive 40,000 m³ facility, Professor Tyler and his team recreate entire city streets - complete with controlled light, sound, and smell - to test everything from new transport systems to how those living with dementia navigate the world. 🧠✨ Because a city that doesn’t listen to its people is just noise. Here, research makes an impact. Learn more about PEARL via the link in our bio. šŸ“ø: @by.emmiwk
