Some works from our permanent collection of Hiram Williams paintings on view in the larger of our two auxiliary spaces, the Babylon Great Hall. The Babylon Great Hall is the heart of our college- a massive central space with unique architecture including a vaulted glass ceiling. Artwork on display here gets the most foot traffic out of all three spaces. In our permanent collection, we house over 150 paintings by the renowned painter Hiram Williams (1917-2003). Hiram Williams was a professor at the University of Florida in Gainesville, had numerous solo shows in his life, and wrote a textbook for young painters. His work also resides in the collections at the @whitneymuseum , @themuseumofmodernart , @guggenheim , @nationalgallery , @harnmuseumofart , and @smithsonian . Our collection primarily showcases works from his later years in the 1990’s, though we do also have a number of works in the 1970’s-1980’s range.

Some favorite moments from the annual CCPS Youth Art Month exhibition in one of our two auxiliary gallery spaces on campus. The Langdon Gallery is a two story skylit atrium space where we usually showcase artwork by students and local community groups.

Phantom Narrative II artist profile: Dylan Garrett Smith @dylanxvx (returning for his second Phantom Narrative) Dylan Garrett Smith is an artist, printmaker, and designer whose work is a product of his views regarding humanity’s relationships with - and the continually growing distance from - the natural world. Combining concepts of occultism, ecology, and memento mori, Smith stresses the importance of the cycle of birth-bloom-decay and the necessity of solitude in nature. Ashes, chalk-lead and ink on black cotton rag paper serve as the primary media to make his images, while reinforcing the natural process of life, death, and rebirth. Dylan has worked with musicians and labels such as Deathwish Inc., Mastodon, Baroness, Sharon Needles, and over 150 others while consistently exhibiting work across the United States. In 2010, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, NY and currently lives and creates in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. #darkart #darkillustration #fantasyart #fantasyillustration #fairytale #grimmsfairytales #darkartist #ballpointpen #popeofhell_art #darkartists #esoterica #heavymetal #heavymetalart #occultart #watercolor #mixedmedia #gothicart #skullart #collegegalleries #artgallery #onlineexhibition #artinthetimeofcorona #artinthetimeofcovid #tattooart #tattooartist #gothicartist
