Rosales received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has exhibited widely, including at the Whitney Museum of American Art, SFMOMA, the Dallas Museum of Art, Museo Universitario del Chopo, and the Gordon Parks Foundation. She is a recipient of a United States Artists Fellowship and a Gordon Parks Foundation Fellowship, and her work is held in major museum collections across the U.S.”
This week’s news about the impending closure of CCA has deeply saddened us all. We had just opened a new darkroom and settled into our new home in SF. There has been a tremendous outflow of support from former staff, faculty and especially alumi. All of us here now thank you. It is the best reminder that the CCA photo community is bigger than a campus in Oakland or San Francisco, it’s bigger than the institution. It is with everyone who worked so hard and grew as artists when they were here. We will mourn this loss together and we will continue that work here and grow our community until the doors close. We will continue to foster and share what we cared about and learned from our beloved program. CCA(C) Photography - always and forever. Sending love to you all.

Time for a student highlight!!!! Zoe is one of our seniors getting their BFA in photography. (@zoee.miles )
“In my photography, I explore the interplay between light and shadow. I create a dreamy and surreal atmosphere in my work, communicating the feeling of separation of mind and body that is experienced with dissociation. My work focuses on the relationship between the intimacy of home and the comfort of familiar spaces, as well as the sustainable, healing, and ephemeral uses of nature.”
Congratulations to our graduating senior Benjamin Young! Join us for his thesis exhibition, Tangled Like Twigs.
Opening Reception: December 10, 5-7 pm
Novack Gallery, 145 Hooper St, San Francisco
