We are kicking off #commencement festivities with senior spotlights, starting with Grace Ellzey!
A College of Architecture, Visual Arts and Design graduate, Grace invested deeply in the CBU community, from leading as chairperson of the Student Senate, to bringing people together through the Swing Dancing Club. Her favorite memories, like A CBU Christmas, reflect a time rooted in faith, connection and celebration.
As she steps into what’s next, we celebrate the impact she’s made and the purpose she carries forward. Congrats, Grace! 🎓 #cbugrad2026

Welcome to Esri, CBU! 🌎🌟⚔️ We hosted @aiga.cbu@cbudesign students last week for a tour of @esri_creative_lab and a look into the work we do. We loved having students over and supporting them in their journey as they transition into their careers! 🎨
I remember exactly where I was a year ago, about to graduate, filled with both excitement and nerves as I stepped into starting my career journey. I’m so grateful to be working here and couldn’t be more proud as I reach my one-year post-grad milestone! 👩🏻🎨
Thank you to all the students who came. I hope this experience encouraged and motivated you to keep chasing your dreams and never giving up. Set a goal and don’t be afraid to go after it, with everything you got. With patience, persistence, and prayer, you will be exactly where God wants you to be. 🙏🩷
Special thanks to our team of designers and illustrators for participating in the panel, to our recruiter Omar for connecting with students, and to Austin for co-hosting this event with me. A huge shoutout to our admin Zola for helping me coordinate all the logistics and bringing everything together!
TY for the amazing photos @jgdesignofficial !! 📸

We are proud to share that Noah Witt’s (@thenoahwitt ) work has been CHOSEN for American Photography 42 (@american_photography_winners ).
Receiving multiple votes from the jury, his work has been CHOSEN for inclusion in The ARCHIVE, AI-AP’s permanent online collection — further recognizing the strength and consistency of the work being produced. This is not a student competition, but recognition among leading national and international professionals. Noah's inclusion is an exceptional achievement and a testament to his vision, discipline, and craft.
We are grateful to the jury and honored to see this level of recognition.
Congratulations, Noah.
It was another incredible night for CBU Design and @cbu.illustration at the 2026 ADDY Awards! Our students and faculty showed up strong and it was reflected in the results. They brought home 21 awards, including 8 of the 10 Golds, along with a special judges award that @jessicadesigns.studio received! HUGE congrats to all! #cbudesign #CAVAD
All glory to God!!! So excited to share that I won a Gold award for art direction at the Inland Empire ADDY awards. It was in the student category for a project I created during my final year at @calbaptist@cbudesign called Still Sabbath! Its purpose was to the next generation the importance of trusting God with our lives and releasing control! The project spanned branding, film, web design, packaging and product design, social marketing, and more!
Excited to share more about it soon, but was so excited to celebrate with you all! Thank you so much to all of my professors and friends who encouraged and challenged me, a special thanks to @cavad.dean for pushing and mentoring me throughout the project, and to @taylorr.faithh_ for her support and love in all of it! And of course, it is nothing without Jesus, and neither am I. So all praise to him, he gets all the glory, for he is the original and ultimate Creator!!!
