CAVE13 met with the writer, director of the upcoming film “Front Left,” Rb *Poodle* Moran. Poodle took us through the mythologies woven into the queer story of an identity epic. Here’s a small look into the mind of the creator.
Stay tuned for the upcoming full interview and behind the scenes peak at the completely original film and filmmaker.
Please DM @cave.thirteen or @_front_left to contribute fiscal support.
Thank you to all that have donated thus far! It means the world to us low-budget, independent artists.

CAVE13 is very excited to announce a new collaboration with Poodle Moran on their upcoming short film “Front Left.”
“Front Left” is an experimental short film and trans retelling of a mythological underworld journey set inside of a Berlin club. The film follows four main trans characters who traverse through 36 hours as they go through 7 tablaeus. Beginning with the rituals of the coat check, ending with the euphoria of the closing song and all of the spaces in between. A transformative journey to their inner core.
This film is not only intended to act as ‘queer content’ as it will be practiced with queer structure. There will be workshops held before filming for the participants of this film to find agency within the making of this piece. The film will be shot in Berlin casting non-actors and core members of the local club-scene.
CAVE13 wants to highlight “Front Left” as an inherently collaborative work and Poodle Moran as an experimental filmmaker and community organizer. We encourage you to help donate to the Kickstarter for the film’s ability to rent equipment, host the agency workshops prior to filming, and provide food and payment to crew and participants of the film.

After 8 weeks CAVE13 wants to take a step back to acknowledge the growth and those who have believed in the collective from the start. We want to wear our gratitude on our sleeves and say thank you to those who have joined the coven with a follow or an interaction. For the artists keeping an eye out on our works, waiting for the right time to reach out, wait no longer! This collective is for you. Even if we don’t have projects that align with your style/practice/process we have devious plans to expand CAVE13 to project-focused events and longer-term/artist-based projects. To those who have gifted us your talents, our deepest thanks. You have lifted CAVE13 from the damp little hole we resided into this very public platform. We would be nothing without your collaboration and skills. Thank you, from the bottom of our witchy hearts. 🖤

CAVE13 is excited to extend the invitation to collaborate. This is the first of many collaborations we intend to embark on.
Our first Call for Collaboration is focused on this month’s topic: Celestial Origin.
CAVE13 is an artist collective for all artists. ALL ARTFORMS ARE WELCOME TO SUBMIT! If this topic speaks to you, we would love for you to participate.
From Sept. 6th-12th we are opening our DMs and email to any ideas for pitches or projects that implement this topic in any way. Processes of collaboration look different for each artist - that way of working can be discussed upon selection.
Keep in Mind:
* Pitches must be original ideas. New pieces to be made for the purpose of this collaboration.
* The project should be intended for completion by or before the end of September.
We can’t wait for you to be part of our Coven.

All endings feed the beginning.
Infinite cycles explode and reconfigure.
All ruins whisper origin.
Inspiration arrives cracked, burning, unfinished. This month at Cave 13, we enter the cycle of destruction and creation.
