🪐 Meet the artists who built our world 🪐
Our Set Decoration and Props team created most of the amazing sculptural artwork you'll see on screen, from alien-like flowers, to sinister dripping arms, to an elaborate magical fountain. Their talent helped us to fully realise the world of Front Left, which exists somewhere between the dance floor and a dream. ✨ (Stay tuned for a BTS of our set design because it's honestly unreal 👀)
⛲️ COLIN ALSBRO ⛲️ (he/they) @coal_lect Set Decorator and one of our social media managers - a creative powerhouse on all fronts. They also celebrated their birthday on set creating our beautiful fountain!

@immyfromlove is a Berlin based DJ and lifelong student of music history, with a passion for the NYC Disco & House scenes from 1969-1999 and featuring various genres from ambient, soul, funk, disco & reggae to house, techno, electro, hardcore and progressive trance. Her core belief that ‘music is love’ guides her to tell unique musical stories through her music, and offers us a chance to see the dance floor not as just an energizing place to groove but also a place to heal.
She was also one of our incredible Front Left DJ’s who helped bring the O Floor to life with magical beats and seductive rhythm. Huge thanks to her support on this film and for making us ignite the dance floor 💟

WHO ARE FRONT LEFT (4/?)
Our film is now in the edit, and none of this would be possible without the work of our amazing crew who helped bring our vision to life. Today we want to shout out some of the artists who built, dressed, and elevated our set. 💕
🎨FEYD ANGELS 🎨(he/him) is our Art Director. @feydangels is a multimedia artist working within themes of transformation, subculture and iconography - basically the perfect person to build our club universe from the ground up. 🔮✨
🔨PILAR PETROPOULOS-WHITE 🔨 (she/her) was the glue (sometimes literally) that held our set together. Thank you @i.stoleyourlighter for your dedication and attention to detail as our set dresser!
👛DARIO CAMPO👛 (they/them) brought the LOOKS as our Costume Designer. @dizzzyforever is a director, writer, and artist with a flair for club kid fits ahead of their time.
🧷DREAM MARK 🧷@dreamboy_9000 made sure everyone was camera ready and looking iconic in Wardrobe. When they’re not wielding safety pins, they’re also a talented tattoo artist - and even gave some of our crew Front Left tattoos! 💉

Now that shooting is done, we have many incredible people to thank who helped make this project possible! 🙌🏼
✨ Our first shout out is to our friends at Ludwig Kameraverleih for the camera and filming equipment rented throughout the whole project.
From the MovieTech Jibarm & HUB to the many cameras (like the ARRI 416 plus ~ our favorite!), monitors, and Ziess lenses, they were incredible to work with and their generous support brought life into the filming.

💖Last month we put out a call out asking for Berlin’s dancers and club kids to come join us for a very special film shoot… And we were blown away by the response!💖
Huge thanks to everyone who came through the doors of OXI on our shooting week and helped us tell our story. A special highlight of the week was our massive club scene. Hundreds of club kids filled the floor and it turned into a proper party. We are so grateful to our club kids for their patience, enthusiasm, and ability to pretend to be hot and sweaty in a club during a cold snap 🥶

today was our last shoot day and I’m all emotions, it was truly a life changing set. Working with all queer and mostly trans creatives and artists. I don’t need the tattoo because this will imprint on me forever *but grateful for a lil pain to remind me hehe*

🌸Yesterday was our last day of filming at OXI and what a way to round the week off!! 🌸
We started the day with our darkroom scene (definitely too hot for Instagram…you’ll have to wait to see the final film 🥵) before moving outside to the garden, with beautiful flowers created by @tchivett . We then shot our final scene back in the toilets, with everyone (including the crew) piling in for the final shot in the venue before we descend into the underworld on Monday…
It has been such a magical week. Specific thank yous and shout outs to come but we just want to share how much we appreciate everyone who stepped through the portal and into our otherworldly club ✨From the BTS chats, to the silly dances, to the focus and dedication on and behind the camera - you have all helped build something really special 💕
On Thursday we got all wet as our shoot took us into the bathrooms 💦
We waterproofed and then flooded the urinals and then later gathered around birthday boy @coalsbro s beautiful fountain creation for a movement scene choreographed by @matildeflor ⛲️
