A new chapter begins. I am proud and honored to have received the ten-year Golden Residency Visa on behalf of the United Arab Emirates. This comes following the nomination on behalf of the Ministry of Culture for my editorial contributions spanning over a decade and most recently my literary and publishing work for the UAE Embassy in Paris under Ambassador @hend_mana . This is the first time any country has offered me Rights and Freedoms based on the value of my mind and not by virtue of the land I was born on, the family I was born into, or per marriage. I believe that for every action there is a reaction, and, that in the face of hate and destruction, we are more powerful than we think. We are the soldiers of literature, education, and art. Our limits are as limitless as our ideas and imagination. My immense gratitude to the UAE for offering me the opportunity to continue to serve in my capacity and partake in a collective dream. It is with all my emotion that I share with you that I have founded MAZARA EDITION, my book publishing house in the United Arab Emirates. Our first book, coming this month, is a commission for the UAE Embassy in Paris, led by Her Excellency Hend Al Otaiba, Ambassador to the Republic of France and the Principality of Monaco.
