BLOOMTOWN Cata x Batch Baby Release For our next coffee release, we have a HUGE collab for possibly our most exciting coffee ever. @cataexport hooked us up with the world famous producers @nestornefferlasso and @zarza_coffee.oficial to make a super special blend to celebrate our hosting of @bloomtownfestival . It’s a super funky washed aji / Natural Sidra that tastes like vimto and fruit pastels. We’re really REALLY proud of this release. Since 2019, Cata Export has been re-shaping Colombian coffee as we know it by discovering, developing and revealing farms like El Diviso, Zarza, Nogales, EL Oasis, Anaya and more.. they’re putting on a series of panel talks and cuppings as well as the screening of CATA ORIGINS: The Pitalito Legacy followed by live presentation and Q&A by Cata and Pierre on How To Start Your Own Farm 101. The bags were another labour of love designed by our own Saskia with lots of help in the creation from packaging geniuses @groundedpackaging Come grab a bag!

We feel very lucky to have such an inspiring community in Colombia and we hope to make these partnerships grow by bringing to you, the end buyer/roaster, some of the most outstanding coffees worldwide. Zarza and Cata Export have been building a path of fun times for a few years now and coffee for us have been an excuse to keep building great times together. This year 2026 join us both in Paris, Amsterdam, London and Brussels we’ll be revealing our new Zarza coffees over these coffee festivals. Gracias Familia Gasca por tanto amor y apoyo. Cata export is teaming up with Andrew Tolley and iconic WOC runners to present this very first LCF edition followed by a cupping of our harvest highlights. This is a charity event and donations will go to Girls Gotta Run. Join us bright eyed and bushy tailed on Friday 15th May at 6.30am to grab your t-shirt and a fresh brew. Meeting point is at Dealer x Dark Arts , 123 Bethnal Green Road and this 5K run will be lead and paced by our good friend Paul Ross of Special Guests This is a friendly non-competitive run where everyone one is free to come and mingle. To paraphrase Andrew Tolley: “if you can’t chat to the person running next to you, you’re running too fast” Run is absolutely free but sign up is mandatory. Link in bio. Super excited to announce our collaboration with the amazing team over at @cataexport for The Cupping Room Sessions launching next week on Thursday. Cata is bringing with them two absolute super stars, Nestor Lasso and Jhonatan Gasca and together they are kicking off the cupping series first thing Thursday morning. Cata will also be hosting a film screening of Cata Origins - The Huila Legacy on Thursday evening. Cata Origins bridges the 9,000km gap between Colombian farms and your cup. A raw look at the heart, hope, and people behind every bean. Tickets are available for the film screening via the link in our bio. Cuppings are non ticketed events. Les presentamos a Juan Camilo Baquero de la empresa Cata Café Export, que estará en el Nacional de Baristas esta semana en Pereira. ¿Quién es Juan Camilo Baquero? Soy Juan Camilo Baquero, tengo 23 años y soy una persona apasionada por lo que hago. Me gusta disfrutar los momentos pequeños y le pongo dedicación a cada detalle. Llevo aproximadamente un año y medio trabajando en la industria de exportación de café como Director de Calidades y Laboratorio en Cata Café Export. Trabajo para una de las compañías que ha llevado cafés colombianos a manos de baristas internacionales, campeones nacionales y mundiales. Me considero una persona amable y leal, y creo en el valor del trabajo en equipo y la confianza. ¿Hace cuánto llegaste al mundo del café y en cuántas competencias has participado? Llevo 8 años en la industria del café. Empecé trabajando en barras de Bogotá y hoy estoy del lado de la exportación, enfocado en el control de calidad. Esta es mi cuarta participación en competencias de barismo y la segunda en filtrados. ¿A quién le dedicas esta participación? Primero que todo a Dios. Segundo a mi familia, a mi esposa, a la empresa y a los productores que me dieron su confianza y fe para poder demostrar el gran trabajo que han logrado durante estos años.
