In October of 2007, I ran my first marathon in Maineājust before being diagnosed with the āCā word. Fast forward to today, and Iāve received another stable scan showing āno new enhancementā. Since then, Iāve gone on to run many more marathonsāmuch faster ones, too. š¤£ But this next marathon is especially meaningful. I am running in honor of my brother, Jiovanni, and for a hospital that means the absolute world to me: Massachusetts General Hospital. At MGH, incredible physicians like my neuro-oncologist, Dr. Gerstner, and my surgeon, Dr. Curry, continue to make strides every single day in the treatment of people diagnosed with glioblastomas (GBMs). Iām so grateful to be part of the @runformgh team, raising money for a cause that is truly near and dear to my heart. Hereās to outliving what was suppose to be 5 years. Hereās to giving hope for the future ground breaking treatments!ššš¦
