Rugged island. Clear skies. Dead calm sea. And puffins everywhere.
I stayed low in the grass for a long time, barely moving. Didn’t want to disrupt their rhythm just needed the right shot.
Brought the Tamron macro instead of a telephoto paired on my Sony A7RV— figured if I got close, I wanted detail, not just reach. It was a gamble, but it paid off. Caught sharp lines in every feather, the gloss in the eyes, even the dirt on their beak.
Not every day gives you a moment like this. Grateful I didn’t miss it. @sonyalpha@tamronamericas
Ireland was always a place I wanted to see for myself.. @barbour
Not just in photos or stories, but in person.
Some of my roots are here, and there’s something humbling about standing on the same land some of my family walked, feeling that history beneath my feet.
Getting to capture these landscapes, the way the light falls on the hills, the rawness of the coastline… it’s something I’ll carry with me.
One of those experiences I can honestly say I’m at peace with, something I can die happy having done.
Cheers to many more pints of Guinness soon to come 🍻
