📍 Australia
Last month I spent 13 days driving over 4,000 km from Sydney to my new home in Perth.
I picked up a new job across the country and had to relocate on short notice. Not knowing when I’d next be in southern Australia, I added some detours, stretched the drive over a few extra days, and turned it into a bit of an adventure.
The journey involved some sketchy dirt roads, a few motor inns, camping, and one night sleeping in the front seat of my car just off the highway, but it was all worth it!
I’ve now been in Perth for just over two weeks, and it feels like I’ve made the right move 😌
📍 The Castle, NSW, Australia
A difficult walk (for me) with a rewarding view!

📍 Australia
Getting caught in a sandstorm in the middle of South Australia about 1 year ago now.

A couple weeks back I spent 5 days riding from The Snowy Mountains to the ocean with two mates (Jindabyne NSW to Merimbula NSW).
I’d be lying if I said the trip was easy, but the challenge is what made this so rewarding… I believe this is called “Type 2 Fun”.
I strapped my camera to the bike and got some shots here and there, but time the time spent on photography was limited as a majority of the ride was focusing on getting to camp before dark.

📍 Jakarta
While wondering through this fish market in north Jakarta, these guys saw me and called me over. Next thing I knew I was on top of the truck taking photos 🛻 🐟
I always get incredibly nervous shooting places like this, but every time they disappear pretty quickly. Partly because so much is going on that I just don’t have the time to hold onto nerves, but also because the locals are just super welcoming and inviting me into their world.

📍Jakarta
7 more days shooting the most populated city on earth. It doesn’t get much easier photographing Jakarta the second time around, but that’s what I like about this place. It really makes you think about how you approach photography.
The chaos can sometimes be overwhelming, the amount of bad shots can be overwhelming too, but every now and then a real banger pops out!
