ATTN: Krewe! 🌸 The wet roads and blazing hot temps had us thinking—it’s way too hot for a big walk, so we’re switching it up! Instead of covering a whole trail, we’re going to pick one spot and frolic there! Meet us at Mouton Gardens @ 5:30! We’ve pushed the start time to 5:30 PM so the sun isn’t quite as intense! Planning to stay til sunset ☀️ Bring your cameras, your beautiful faces, your friends, your water bottles, your bubbly sodas—and if you have a waterproof picnic blanket, bring that too! 🧺 We’ll be parking at 101 Mall Street in the large abandoned parking lot—plenty of space for everyone! @camera.krewe is hosting its first ever photo event on October 9th and you’re invited. Please RSVP with the link in our bio! ✦ This is a free photo event for Lafayette models, photographers, videographers, and creatives of all levels! Anyone from beginners to professionals are welcomed. Our goals for our events are to create, collaborate, build our portfolio, network, and make new friends! The theme is Black & White Halloween, so think of any costume/ outfit in that color scheme & don’t feel afraid to get spooky. Think witchy, vampy, or even angelic vibes! We will be meeting at the gates of Menachim Aveilim Cemetery, 1209 Lee Ave, at 4pm. Bring your gear + your creative spirit, tag your friends that you want to see there, and we’ll see you then! ✦✦✦

Previous projects of mine expand upon self-expression, identity, trauma, and healing. My hope for @camera.krewe is to provide safe spaces for artists to collaborate, grow, and create together – even the shy ones. Hello, we’re Camera Krewe, a photo + video creative collective based in Lafayette, LA, looking to build community, network, and create art with other creatives across the city. Our goal is to host events open to ALL levels, from beginners to professionals, to practice, build our portfolios, and learn from each other. While we are mainly a photo + video creative collective, stylists, makeup artists, costume designers, and many more creatives are all welcomed! We hope to make the creative community feel connected and supported. Our first event will be a Photo Walk, so be on the lookout for the theme announcement! What is a photo walk? Here’s the rundown. Models, photographers, and other creatives of all levels are welcomed to attend and collaborate with each other. Those wishing to model will come dressed in the designated theme, and those wishing to photograph will come with their gear! We will all meet at a specific location and from there begin creating magic! For those new to modeling or photography, this is your chance to build your portfolio and make new friends! Don’t be scared to reach out to someone new. Feel free to ask others at the event to help with direction, to give advice, or to collaborate. We have many more ideas and are always open to new ones! Feel free to shoot us a dm with ways we can better serve the community.
