Adam Freeland, Bi Disc, Camea and Hiro Ama’s Remixes of my album Without Us are out today! Adam Freeland — whom I met in the desert while working on the album and later also worked in his Joshua Tree studio — remixed Paradise O.D. I’d been a fan of his since the early 2000s, I still remember my friend Nano traveling to Berlin to see him play when we were both living in Wiesbaden and I was gutted I couldn’t go. Bi Disc — an old Wiesbaden friend now based in Rome — delivered a remix for Steady. Back when we all lived in Berlin he played in the band Abby, which had all sorts of overlaps with our band BBF. Somehow almost everyone in their band was called Philipp. Hiro Ama — stellar drummer and member of Teleman — created a bruk-leaning remix* for Paradise O.D., reminds me of the Plastic People days. And Camea giving pure rave energy with her remix for Resistance, reminiscent of right after our show at the Barbican in April. I also made a remix myself. I don’t know why but I felt I had to.
