We’re so excited to welcome @abiba.sokoto to our next Call 4 Rhythm @shelteramsterdam , a multidisciplinary force bringing fiery energy to Amsterdam’s dancefloor and beyond 🔥✨ Born to a Burkinabé father and a German mother, her cross-cultural upbringing shaped a deep, embodied relationship to rhythm, rooted in Black musical traditions that carry history, emotion, and collective power. Her sound is pure body music, from house and broken beat to jazz fusion, heavy on polyrhythms, syncopation, and fat basslines. She’ll be cooking up a storm to keep you locked in 💃🏾⚡️ She draws inspiration from movement and sound across the Black music continuum and its rich legacy of communal celebration, resistance, and care. Abiba moves with intention and fire. We can’t wait for her Shelter debut. Big talent coming through 🚀💫

We are thrilled to welcome Mayo to our next Call 4 Rhythm in Shelter. An “enfant terrible” of Amsterdam’s underground, @originalmayo charts her own course within electronic music, unapologetic, uncompromising, and fully present! A fixture in the city’s darker rooms, she operates within scenes that prioritize experimentation over ease. Her vision of Goth House, as she defines it, has taken her from Amsterdam’s underground to international dancefloors, including revered clubs across Asia, where her sound resonates deeply with forward-thinking crowds. Her production work spans releases on @united.identities and Fides, a haunting remix for Berlin’s R.I.O., and a recent vinyl-only EP on Off The Grid. Across both studio and stage, Mayo is known for powerful, hardware-driven live performances that push house and techno into heavier, more evocative territory. Championing the darker edge of house music, Mayo brings a vital, authentic perspective. Scenes are built by those who challenge them, goth… but make it dancefloor. 🕷️🕺🏽✨🪩🧨🥰 📸 @keesdekleinnn

We’re so excited to welcome a true House music force to our next Call 4 Rhythm : Lea Lisa @lealisamusic is a House DJ, digger, and curator driven by honesty, heritage, and a deep emotional connection to the music. Active since the 90s, her journey reflects a lifelong commitment to House as a living culture. Her sound moves between emotive deep house and cerebral, forward-leaning techno. As a producer, she has released music on Inner Balance Recordings, Wolf Music, and Karakul, with remixes by Kerri Chandler and Glenn Underground. You might have come across Lea Lisa’s latest productions on @smallville_records Records "Poem For The Lost Souls" including an outstanding remix by @kuniyuki_takahashi_music  or through her curation work on the compilation "Many Shades Of House" for @favoriterec Or perhaps you’ve been lucky enough to experience her on a dancefloor, feeling first-hand the depth and intensity she brings to the room. Lea Lisa blew me away when she invited me to play at her Bliss residency. There are very few DJs of this calibre and that’s no exaggeration. This is a rare opportunity to hear her play in Amsterdam, on @shelteramsterdam ’s sound system, where her sonics can fully unfold. Guided by passion and sincerity, Lea Lisa brings deep, driving House with real presence and undeniable dancefloor power. She believes music is not about value, but about love! We are deeply honored to welcome @tama_sumo & @lakuti_ to our next Call 4 Rhythm night @shelteramsterdam 🌹 Tama Sumo and Lakuti are fundamental pillars of the global House music community. Beyond their undeniable power as DJs, they are visionary curators, mentors, and tireless advocates for justice and representation. Their work has consistently shaped dancefloors into spaces where community comes before ego, and emotion before function. Their journeys spanning Soweto, Berlin, London, and dancefloors across the world- reflect a deep commitment to dance music as a living culture. Tama Sumo has been DJing professionally since the early 1990s, building a legacy defined by depth, consistency, and trust. With long-standing residencies at Tresor and Berghain / Panorama Bar, she is known for her impeccable musical knowledge and instinctive ability to guide dancefloors with both grace and intensity. Originally from South Africa, Lakuti relocated to London in the late ’90s and quickly became a driving force within the scene. Through platforms such as Süd Electronic and Uzuri, she has created vital space for Black artists and underrepresented voices, shaping the culture with clarity, intention, and vision. Together, Tama Sumo and Lakuti are the hearts and minds behind Your Love, a party that has been a cornerstone of Panorama Bar for over a decade. They embody a rare balance of musical depth, cultural awareness, and radical care for the dancefloor and the communities it brings together. They have played a transformative role in my own journey, opening the doors of their residencies and welcoming me into the story. Some of my most meaningful DJ moments have happened at Your Love ❤️
