β€œSuccess is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” - Winston Churchill Last weekend’s @f2wbjj was an incredible experience. F2W has been a goal for a long time and I’m grateful to be given the opportunity. A shout out as always to instructors Eduardo Fraga @ralphgracieberkeley and @journeymangrappler as well as my teammates for their incredible support in and outside of the academy. Thank you to my friends and family who bought tickets or tuned into flograppling to support. Thank you to a tremendously tough opponent @originaldon_cta who took the match a week before and put on a show. A final thank you to my incredible girlfriend @sahara_loffsner who has been my strongest source of support. This is the first mile into a long road. I’m excited to push myself and those around me to continue to expand comfort zones. πŸ“Έ @jewjitsu1 πŸ“Έ @kyushotya πŸ“Έ @gera___3

This is a text conversation between our Executive Director @calder.powers and our Guardian Ethiopia leader @linkd24 Behind the scenes, there are difficult situations we have to navigate in our programs. At @guardianethiopia , we sponsor 27 homeless youth to train jiu jitsu with us. Some of these kids, as young as 10 to 13, are already struggling with drugs and alcohol. For children living on the streets in Addis Ababa, this is often part of survival. It can be a way to get through cold nights, numb pain, or cope with things no child should have to face. Beyond jiu jitsu, our goal is intervention. We are working with local professionals to help these kids break destructive patterns, build healthier habits, and understand that what may feel normal on the streets does not have to define their future.

@guardiangym is a real-world experiment in what happens when a kid is given jiu jitsu, mentorship, and a team behind them. #jiujitsuforall

Incredible weekend at CJI2 @cjiofficial @craigjonesbjj and @sethbelisle continue to push jiu jitsu into new territory, breaking records in viewership, athlete pay, and the reach of the sport itself. But what makes CJI truly different is the impact beyond the stage. Through Fair Fight Foundation, CJI helped build a new state-of-the-art home for @guardianperujj ,already full of kids from the streets of MΓ‘ncora finding a safe place to grow, and a school that will change lives for decades. Together we’ve also built schools in Ethiopia, Sinaloa, and Uganda, giving young people around the world their first chance to step on the mat. I feel lucky to travel, meet these kids, and work alongside passionate people who share this same mission. A special thank you to Guardian’s founder, my close friend and mentor @bskovacs , whose dedication over the past 8 years has shaped this movement, and to our academy leaders worldwide who pour everything into their communities. @carsahh and @theshartmachine ran a awesome booth, and thank you Shoyoroll for the giveaways and lottery tickets that made it all even better. We’re entering a new chapter as an organization, and I’m forever grateful to our donors, sponsors, and partners who make all of this possible. Thank you Craig, Seth, @anthony_horta_ , and the entire CJI team, not only for putting on an unforgettable event, but for helping open the doors of jiu jitsu to kids who need it most. #jiujitsuforall πŸ“Έ @notcesarp

Thank you Fair Fight Foundation, @cjiofficial , @craigjonesbjj , and @sethbelisle for building an entire school from the ground up @guardianperujj . No one has supported Guardian more than Craig, Seth, and CJI. They have traveled across the world to our projects, meeting our kids in their own neighborhoods, sharing inspiration, and investing in the resources they need to grow. CJI did not just elevate professional jiu jitsu. They brought it to kids who would likely never step on the mats otherwise, and their generosity will continue to change young lives for decades. Thank you to Craig, Seth, and the whole CJI team for your massive contribution to the sport, for athletes, for fans, and for kids around the world. #jiujitsuforall

We’re proud to share the first phase of renovations at @guardianuganda_ where kids across Kampala now have a safe place to train and belong. Beyond training, Guardian Uganda provides meals, shelter, clothing, and medical care, giving kids a fighting chance at a better future. This has been made possible thanks to the support of Fair Fight Foundation and our board member Eric Shpritz. And with new gear from Shoyoroll on the way, the kids will soon have gis to call their own. This is just phase one as we continue to build this school and with it an entire community. #jiujitsuforall

A first look at the grand opening of the new @guardianperujj Headquarters, built by @cjiofficial and the Fair Fight Foundation. Last weekend we welcomed a new wave of kids from MΓ‘ncora into the program. Many of them don’t have access to school and spend their days on the streets without guidance. Soon hundreds will have year-round mentorship, a team to belong to, jiu jitsu, and a state of the art facility to call their home. Stay tuned as we will soon share opportunities to visit, train, surf, eat the best Peruvian food, and see the impact firsthand. Thank you to all of our supporters and sponsors who make this possible. Tune in to CJI 2 August 30-31st live and free on the @bteamjj YouTube channel. #jiujitsuforall #jiujitsuparatodos
