#podernopanico #mantengamoslasfamiliasunidas❤ #iceoutofla

yesterday, @cagovernor released his May Revision of the 2026-2027 state budget. today, the #Food4All coalition responds. "Diminished spending power is a detriment to families, retailers, food producers and local economies - California must do more to ensure a strong safety net for all.” - @lagoodfood "Governor Newsom’s May Revision fails Californians with low incomes who are on the brink of a hunger crisis. Without bold state action, thousands of Californians, including humanitarian immigrants who are children, people with disabilities, and parents to US citizens, will be stripped of their CalFresh eligibility over the coming months." - @calbudgetcenter we are grateful that @cagovernor maintained his commitment to expanding CFAP for Californians age 55+, regardless of status, which enables our state to weather federal attacks with resilience. but he can't stop there -- our leaders must not follow Trump's lead & instead invest in food for ALL #noexceptionsnoexclusions #nodelays 📖 read our full coalition statement at bit.ly/f4amayrevise2627 📲 take action at bit.ly/cta2026-f4a

Earlier today, Gov. Newsom released his May revised budget proposal for the fiscal year 2026-27. While we give the governor credit for funding programs that support immigrant communities, this proposal falls far short in investing in the health and safety of communities that built California’s prosperity. The May Budget revision is coming and it will decide who gets food assistance and who is left behind in California. We recently engaged the Governor’s office to let them know what’s needed: #Food4All — protect the California Food Assistance Program expansion for older adults ages 55+ AND restore food access for immigrant communities shut out of CalFresh due to H.R. 1

Did you know that in 2023, California immigrant business owners accounted for $28.4 billion of the state’s business income? Through training, technical assistance, and microgrants, the SEED Initiative has helped approximately 3,400 entrepreneurs who contribute immensely to their local communities and the state’s economy. Success stories of immigrant entrepreneurs like Digna’s, Deyci’s, and Claire’s are why we’re urging @cagovernor , @caspeakerrivas , @asmjessegabriel , @quirksilva , @moniquelimonca , @senjohnlaird , @senmelissahurtado to invest $45 million in the 2026-27 State Budget for the SEED Initiative. #ImmigrantEntrepreneurship #EconomicMobility #EconomicJustice #SEED

AB 2635, the Just Transition for Landscapers Act, will support landscapers in California with an equitable transition to electric equipment. This is a climate-friendly initiative to create a healthier world for our neighbors and workers.  @caimmigrant , @daylaborernetwork and @inclusivaction are calling on the Assembly Appropriations Committee to support AB 2635! ✊ @asmbuffywicks @joshhooverca @asmarambula @AsmLisaCalderon @asmcaloza @diane_dixon_asm @asmmikefong @AsmMarkGonzalez @asmmaggykrell @asmblancapacheco @asmgailpellerin @asmlashae @asmsolache @trita4ca @asmtangipa @el_pueblo_platica916

California's economic prosperity depends on protecting immigrant workers and business owners, and building pathways to economic mobility. @cagovernor , @caspeakerrivas , @asmjessegabriel , @quirksilva , @moniquelimonca , @senjohnlaird , @senmelissahurtado listen to these powerful testimonies from across the state and invest $45 million in the State Budget towards a new generation of #SEED immigrant entrepreneurs. #ImmigrantEntrepreneurship #EconomicMobility #EconomicJustice
