Zephyr Arland is a character who was always going to be made by me, one way or another, in some capacity. His golden heart and desire to help others is something I want to see more of in myself and in the world around me.
He harkens back to an age of superheroes that was filled with hope, optimism, and fun.
I spent countless hours on his supersuit design, something that was deeply important to me and which has landed with both fans, colleagues, and fellow creatives more spectacularly than I ever could have hoped for.
I've been blessed with so many people who have believed in me and in this character and the stories I want to tell with him.
@carrowbrown believed in it from Day One, and challenged me to challenge myself in my writing, and the character voice for Zephyr's best friend, Ian, is heavily credited to her influence.
The number of artists who have been a part of this project, from talented line artists to vibrant colorists, is long but valued.
