IXO and @caadaus presents an opportunity you don’t want to miss. WAVe 2026 at IUAV University of Venice brings together architecture students from around the world in Venice. This year’s theme, Balance, challenges you to think beyond static design, exploring how architecture responds to tension, change and the realities of today’s world. If you’re a CAAD student looking to collaborate globally, expand your perspective, and experience architecture in a new context, this is your moment! #iuav #americanuniversityofsharjah #studyabroad #ixo

Four days left to view our exhibition “Past Through Here”, curated by students of @ausharjah at Maraya Art Centre, Sharjah. Featuring works from Barjeel Art Foundation’s collection, the exhibition explores imprints of memory, movement, and transformation, tracing not only ‘what’ we remember but also ‘how’ we remember. Some works reflect on personal histories, others on collective experiences. Together, they suggest that memory is not linear but layered, surfacing in unexpected forms across different moments of life. وتشير الأعمال مجتمعة إلى أن الذاكرة ليست خطية، بل متعددة الطبقات، تظهر بأشكال غير متوقعة عبر لحظات ومراحل مختلفة من الحياة Curated by: بتقييم: @omar.elsiddig @ahnaf.aar @abdullah.y03 @mtm.jpeg @moejo_22 @mayed_ys @sssultan_0 @bymaryambinbishr @jitaksharaa @_salmahilal @ha.lsh @__aayyash Mentored by: @sultanalqassemi @suheyla.takesh @caadaus @aus.sba @cas_aus Photographs by Christina Dimitrova @christindim . #pastthroughhere #barjeelartcollection #marayaartcentre #modernarabart

Sikka Art & Design Festival 2026 ✨ Art & Design faculty, students, and alumni featured at Al Shindagha Historic District — Slides 1–4 | Ashyaa’—The Institution House A communal space where UAE design institutions gather to think, make, and share. Ashyaa’ functions as a temporary shared studio focused on objects, process, and dialogue rather than final outcomes. The project brings together three interconnected rooms: a design-focused bookshop (Hobb), exploring publishing as knowledge production; a communal table showcasing tools, artifacts, and traces of thought that reveal design as an evolving dialogue between @ausharjah , @zayedu , @dididxb , @nyuabudhabi and audience; Neon Neon, a curated collection of neon-lit artworks reflecting on kitsch as a familiar visual language across Arab cities. In the courtyard, The Chair reexamines the plastic chair as an everyday object shaped by ergonomics, memory, context, and ties to historical symbols of status. Curators: Alanood Bukhammas (@alanoodbukhammas ), Zena Adhami (@zadhami ) Lead: Mahmoud Hamdy (@mahmouddd4 ) Room 1: Hobb Design & Visual Culture Bookshop (@hobb.ae ), Haifa Malhas (@haifamalhas ) Room 2: Elham Namvar (@elhamnamvar ), Naz Naddaf (@naznaddaf ) Room 3: Mobius Design Studio (@what.themobius ), Hala Ani (@halalani ), Riem (@ri.em ), Hadeyah Badri (@hforhungry ) Courtyard: Haifa Al Haj (@fromharchives ) — Slides 5–6 | The Internet is Dying A project exploring digital rot, erasure, and the slow collapse of online memory—revealing how the digital spaces we trust to hold our histories are far more fragile and temporary than they appear. By: Noorzada Darwish (@noorzada_d ) Part of VIS406 led by Prof. Hala Al Ani (@halalani ) — Slides 7–9 | Don’t Go Outside A research project documenting Emirati folkloric stories and the variations shaped by oral storytelling.
