Our short film Lake Burst will be screening at Light Moves Festival on 7 November 🖤 An experimental short, shot two Autumns ago that draws inspiration from the Irish folktale “River Claiming It’s Due” - a story of a lake summoning the inevitable death of its next victim. The film follows Irish-Trinidadian artist Maïa Nunes as they explore connection to landscape as a pathway to belonging. Artist @maia.nu.nes deep dedication and connection to their practice made translating their work into a visual story such a deeply immersive process. Endless thanks to our fearless crew who braved the wild Irish weather on Lough Bré and to the London crew who helped us bring this vision to life on a shoestring budget.
