Want to try Burmese 🇲🇲 food? 🤔 Yo, this video took a long time to manifest… I first met San San @onlysanss at an event we hosted with @on and @streetvendorproject at @momaps1 last November. She recommended @burmesebites then, and I finally got around to checking it out in April. Was it the rain? The large crowd at Queens Center Mall? Or because we had a massive meal at Barzola right before we arrived? Whatever the reason, we forgot to properly record the audio, despite Myo graciously sharing his story with us and San San offering her expertise. Then I spent the majority of May in South Korea, shooting content, and it became a dilemma on how to break down this particular highlight. I was thrilled to see our friend @mubereats did an excellent highlight for AAPI month, sharing Myo’s quotables. So I decided to take a different approach: admitting our mistake, and championing San San and Myo for not only sharing the restaurant’s journey, but also shedding light on the overall Burmese community. Hopefully, y’all enjoy this interpretation as much as we do. Thank you @mishkamakesfood for taking a stab at the initial edit, and @kai.mdna for bringing this to the finish line. Aight, peace and blessings. 🎥: @keepitseung

Been wanting to go and support our friend Ko Moe Chan @moechannyc and his team for a while. . Burmese Breakfast at Nangma Restaurant 83-17 Broadway Elmhurst, NY 11373 (Sunday only… 8am- 2 pm) . Finally we made it. We arrived around 11 am and it was getting quite busy already. But according to one customer who comes to this place often said the place gets even busier after 11:30. The line could get quite long. Happy to see fellow Burmese/Myanmar food establishments doing well. It’s not easy. . Well known dishes Pea Nan/Pea Palata (Ko Moe Chan) Sticky Rice (Ko Moe Chan…very good) Mohinga (Ko Thar Gi) Shan Kaukswe (Ma Ma Nu) Tofu Nway (Ma Ma Nu) and a few other precooked dishes. We got fish and goat from Ko Thar Gi and they are really good. . မြန်မာ့အစားအစာ ကမ္ဘာကသိစေရမည်။

Happy new year to you all. We would like to let you know that as of 1/1/2026, Burmese Bites is no longer at the Queens Center Mall food court. While the exact location of our new home is still need to be determined we are currently working on two potential places, one in Manhattan and one in Astoria. We will go whichever come up first. One thing for sure is that it will be a sit-down restaurant so that our customers can enjoy the most out of Burmese cuisine. . Thank you all for all the support. Please stay tuned.. . .
