earlier in October i got inspired by watching artist tour diaries and i decided to make a monthly recap with my camcorder :) took a break off social to invest more in experiences and this is what ive been up to 🫰if there’s one thing i take away from this is that i know true love exists because of my friendships 🫰 love y’all
Wanted to share recent work for Complex that I’m super proud of.
If I cut back to 5 years ago, my younger self only *dreamed* of being able to edit like this. Going from dropping out of nursing school 5 years ago, moving to the city to figure things out and having to go through all the hardships of making editing a career for myself….. the way I’ve been able to build these skills to become the editor I dreamt of becoming means the absolute world to me. I take work very seriously and it’s because of the journey it took to get here and I am deeply grateful for every project that I’ve taken on. and there’s always new goals to be made to become better, but damn I’m so proud of myself and how far I’ve come and I want to celebrate that. Cheers to imposter syndrome, it made me scared like hell but at least it let me know I was investing something I deeply care about.
(Also fun fact: I had to turn this around in roughly 10 hours, full edit and color by me)
Some exciting news, I had the incredible honor of editing the tribute award videos for Ciara, June Ambrose, DJ Kiss & Flo Ngala that was shown at the Black Women In Music Dinner, celebrating the global impact of Black women in the music industry.

This was for little Kai, who loved dancing to Ciara and Missy Elliot as a kid. It’s so crazy to think that women I’ve idolized and listened to growing up have seen my work. Feeling immense gratitude. 🙏
