BREAKFAST WITH THE BULLYWUGS.
Happy #Froguary and Froggy Friday, folks! This is another rather impromptu collab between the folks at @bricksandfables that brings all the whimsy you could possibly need in these trying times(or at least tries to fill up the whimsy meter a little more). With the release of the recent CMF series and the inclusion of a frog outfit, many folks in the Lego D&D community have seen their usefulness as bullywugs! What are bullywugs, you ask? Frog people! Toad people! Everything in between! Except for poison dart frog people. Those are called Grung. Fun fact: did you know bullywugs were classified as fey under the 2024 5.5e update? That's right: fey. This might be a clue for the upcoming monthly challenge theme...
Generally, bullywugs are considered rather dim and unevolved. This family seems to be rather enlightened, though, don't you think? From left to right, we have Scrog, the youngest daughter (and a prodigy at the horn), Millymop, the eldest son (and a bubble savant), Belgya, the mother (and a gifted mage), and Fronk, the father (he doesn't really have any passions, but he'll protect his family until his last croak). A perfectly average, nuclear family! I dare say these gentlewugs look like they'd make for great tea companions. Perhaps it would even be... a hoppin' good time?

YRTUHR'ITHRIEL YRYN'DURAK, THE WRATHFUL ONE, LAST OF HIS KIND, STORMLORD OF THE DESERT OF BODHAM.
(Cult of Wrath series: 23/23)
I know it's been a long time coming, and I thank all of y'all for being patient with me in this series! I propped up this behemoth as an imposing threat from almost the first session of my campaign, back in 2019. Though he isn't the main bad guy in the campaign, he became far more prevalent over the past year and a half, as the party began to set their sights on toppling him from his throne in the desert. Built up as the most menacing and dangerous foe they had faced yet, this dragon had to be one of my most over-the-top, extravagant, and truly massive creature build. It's quite possibly my favorite thing I've built, and it brought me great pride to be able to bring to life the vision of a powerful enemy years in the making, that my players couldn't have imagined fighting in their first encounter. Without further ado, I present to you the ancient blue dragon, Yrtuhr'ithriel Yryn'durak, the Wrathful One.
Standing at the threshold to the dragon's den, the party knew that they were making history, no matter the outcome. If they died beyond this curtain fighting this dragon, they would be dooming hundreds, if not thousands of souls to death. For they had fought for and taken nearly everything from this dragon--and nothing in the world is more dangerous than an ancient dragon with nothing to lose. But if they bested this foe, they would be forever changed. They would be not mere adventurers, spelunking for treasure and gold--they would be heroes. The weight upon their shoulders filled their hearts with trepidation, as one of their own stood side-by-side with their gold dragon ally, each with a hand on the curtains.
"Together," the gold prince said resolutely, and they both pulled open the curtains.

HALLOWEEN HABITAT STACK.
Here it is: my habitat stack for the #halloweenhabitats24 and #letsbuildhalloween challenges! I've taken you through many types of locations in D&D, from all over the realm, and even other planes.
In order from left to right, bottom row first, we have the trenches of Avernus, an ancient temple being used by a necromancer, a mysterious cave in the Underdark, a vampire lord's castle, a dragon-worshipping Cult, and a witch's hut.
Which one is your favorite?

STEAL TEAM SIX, BONUS BATCH NO. 5.
Been a minute since I've done a figbarf of characters from my D&D campaign, so here you go! These are older photos I never got around to posting until now, just so you know, lol. From left to right, top to bottom, we have:
Tom, the Human Paladin.
Arafina, the Half-elf Fighter.
Aloka, the Aasimar Fighter.
Ahzrukhal, the Tiefling Rogue.
While Tom is the only character from this batch currently in play, all of them were memorable individuals, and live on in their allies' memories!

COLOSSAL MANTICORE, TERROR OF MT. OGRU.
I'm finally posting another #monstermonday! This is a build I've had done for a while, but hadn't yet edited its photos to my satisfaction. I'm not a wizard or anything with photography or edits, but I'm comfortable posting him now! This was an encounter my D&D party faced a little while ago when they were on their way to a city in a mountain. If you want a little bit of lore with it, read on!
Mt. Ogru was a treacherous place to venture to. Reports of criminal gang activity had been pouring out for months now, from the mouths of those refugees who'd safely made it out. People taken in the night, driven out of their homes, or worse... Something was plaguing the mountain, and it was no longer confined to the bounds of its earthen housing. A few tales of refugees from the city spoke of a great winged beast which hunted escapees. Some say it was a lion with wings. Others say it had a twisted, almost humanoid expression across its monstrous face. Still yet more said it bore a scorpion tail which could launch debilitating spikes. The look in the eyes of those who had seen it and lived was enough to convey the reality of the situation: this was no mere predator or beastāit was deranged, as though something had driven it mad.
//
The five adventurers faced it now, near its den, staring down the wild look in its eyes. It was larger than any manticore they'd ever seen, and behaved erratically. It was, perhaps, more dangerous than it would've been were it composed: it acted unpredictably, and fought as though it had nothing to lose. Still, the Raiders had chased it hundreds of feet through the treetops, and had gotten it to release the refugees it had just captured from the mountain trail. There were innocent lives at stakeāthe Raiders had everything to lose. As they traded blows with it, dividing and conquering from all angles, they couldn't help but ponder what must've altered its physiology so. And if it was a byproduct of something in the area... Surely this colossal manticore wouldn't be the worst of their problems.

THE RIDGAR ROVERS, THE CONTINENT'S FINEST BAND.
(March of the Bards series, Pt. 5)
This is the fifth and final post in my series for the #Marchofthebards challenge hosted by @bricksandfables ! When we were tossing around ideas for monthly challenges and this one came up, I knew I would have to build a band with mine, and that's exactly what I did! Here they all are assembled. Their names, instruments, and subclasses are listed below!
Aurelian Thelvyris: vocals/lute, College of Glamour
Turo Fendale: horn, College of Lore
Bzurt Manaward: guitar, College of Sonics
Calathi Crimsonheart: drums, College of Swords
The Ridgar Rovers are the continent's most popular musical actāand for good reason. Their music has even been taught at their founding place, the Bardic College of Music and Magical Mastery (BC Tri-M) for a few years. They've played all over the world, from the beautiful triton city of Ordhym, to the royal court in New Bodham, and even to the Grave of the Betrayed (despite the heavy backlash). Though the four-piece owes their roots to bardic college where they all met, they made their names for themselves on the road, touring in places high and low, and reaching every major city on the map.
The Rovers' success is due to a spectacular fusion of sheer creative talent and awe-inspiring performances that bring a whole new level to live music. Indeed, their production level has gone far beyond the small taverns they started out in, now featuring pyrotechnics, magical visual effects, and even occasional arcane duels. Firing on all cylinders worldwide and rocketing to stardom, the Ridgar Rovers have earned themselves a plethora of nicknames with fans, including: Ridgar's Hottest Concert Performers (RHCP), Altairus' Criminally Dazzling Crooners (ACDC), and even Elysium Lives On (ELO). Their merchandise is guaranteed profits to any outfitter, and their performances are a logistical nightmare to any event coordinator. Though some cities may struggle to support the influx of folks for Rovers' shows, there's no denying that if these four are in town, it is THE event.

CALATHI CRIMSONHEART, THE PYRECUSSIONIST.
(March of the Bards series, Pt. 4)
This is the fourth post in my series for the #Marchofthebards challenge hosted by @bricksandfables ! When we were tossing around ideas for monthly challenges and this one came up, I knew I would have to build a band with mine, and that's exactly what I did! This fourth character is the drummer.
The final member of the band is often called the beating heart of the group, and not just for the pun. Calathi's martial prowess and fearsome playing are anything but tame, and lend a certain edge to the quartet that can't be matched. Her fiery beats are fabled to have once driven off an orcish invasion of a small town they were resting in for the night. While her kit on the road and in combat is usually much more compact, this tiefling College of Swords bard puts on a spectacular show on and off the stage. Her dual flame-kissed electrum drumsticks are her unlikely weapons of choice on the battlefield, when she doesn't resort to just banging her drums over her foes' heads. The muscle of the group, but also deeply caring about her traveling band, the Pyrecussionist burns with a passion loud enough to astound both spectators and enemies.

BZURT MANAWARD, THE MUSIC MACHINE.
(March of the Bards series, Pt. 3)
This is the third post in my series for the #Marchofthebards challenge hosted by @bricksandfables ! When we were tossing around ideas for monthly challenges and this one came up, I knew I would have to build a band with mine, and that's exactly what I did! This third character is the guitarist.
While many details surrounding Bzurt's origins are a mystery, there's no denying his stage presence. Legend has it he once played in the Phrimut Colosseum, and could be heard from outside the city gates. Bzurt is a warforged College of Sonics (homebrew) bard whose innovation with his magitech amplifier and technical mastery of his instrument allow him to tug at the Weave in very precise and unique ways. As such, he can manipulate soundwaves themselves, and can turn a battlefield into an absolute catastrophe. Usually, however, he just utilizes his abilities to make sure he and his bandmates are all balanced at the right listening levels. Whether or not innkeepers see eye-to-eye on what the right listening levels are, one thing's undeniableāwhen they have the opportunity to host the Music Machine at their inn, they don't turn down the opportunity.

TURO FENDALE, THE BRASS BOY GENIUS.
(March of the Bards series, Pt. 2)
This is the second post in my series for the #Marchofthebards challenge hosted by @bricksandfables ! When we were tossing around ideas for monthly challenges and this one came up, I knew I would have to build a band with mine, and that's exactly what I did! This second character is the horn player.
It's rumored that Turo once played a solo so beautiful, it made the queen of Ordhym cry, raising the salinity of the Great Bay. His abilities are said to be so prolific, he had to pioneer a whole new iteration of his instrument. The virtuoso of the band, this horn player is anything but shy about his talent. When a piece needs a moving solo or a melody to weave around the lute line, Turo is the guy. This aasimar College of Lore bard is all about that brass, and brings his sultry tones and mesmerizing dance moves with him wherever he goes. The top student of his class, Turo was the only one that Aurelian never could woo, even in college. Supposedly, his one true love for his craft meant that nothing could take his heart away from it. And when you watch the brass boy genius perform, you just might believe it. There's no doubt about itāhe's never delivered a performance that's anything short of electrifying.

AURELIAN THELVYRIS, THE SPELLBINDING SINGER.
(March of the Bards series, Pt. 1)
This is the first post in my series for the #Marchofthebards challenge hosted by @bricksandfables ! When we were tossing around ideas for monthly challenges and this one came up, I knew I would have to build a band with mine, and that's exactly what I did! This first character is the singer.
They say she could swindle the richest out of their fortune, and could break the hearts of even the most devoted partners. Aurelian is as dangerous as she is talented, and as skilled at enchanting people as she is at the lute. This human College of Glamour bard hails all the way from Salside, where the waves aren't the only song that rocks the city to sleep at night. Born into a family of musicians, she's been singing since she was a wee lass, and playing lute for no shorter a time. Though she often keeps her bandmates on their toes by ignoring the setlist, one thing's for certain: whenever the Spellbinding Singer is in town, people go out of their way to watch her perform!

BARTHOLT HYPERION (GIANT FORM), COLOSSUS OF THE RIFTEIL RAIDERS.
As I near the milestone of my 300th post, I wanted to look back on another of my older builds. This is one of the first builds I ever shared online, years ago on Reddit(long before Builds & Guilds was ever a thing). It's a giant form of one of the original characters in my D&D campaign, which he was able to shift into for a limited amount of time, after embarking on a solo quest to prove himself to his stone giant ancestors. Though the character is now a retired trainer in the thieves' guild and one of his hands is now a mechanical prosthetic, his impact lives on in the tales of his exploits during his time on Steal Team Six.
This build was one of the first things I ever made that made me realize I wanted to share my creations online, so it is a bit special to me. You can see in the last photo that I designed it based on the minifig, with the sort of "mech" ability to place the minifig into the giant suit for use in combat when the character transformed. What do you think: does it match the aesthetic of the minifig?
