This is also the Portland CD Release party for Max Nordile's newest release. For the unfamiliar, Nordile creates stunning sonic experiments across a wide array of instruments and improvised tools. Truly like nothing you've heard before.

Today I am very excited to announce the pre-release of our new album Modern Folk Band in a limited edition of 50 cassettes from Bud Tapes - our first tape with them after a handful of CDs. The pace of our releases has slowed down, but I feel like each one means more, and this one means a lot. It’s our first album recorded in a studio with an engineer/producer - Skyler Pia, who did a beautiful job helping us sound our best. MF has never been represented in this kind of fidelity before. It’s a clear snapshot of where our ever shifting band was at last summer, and we are proud of it. The Planet of the Apes inspired cover art is by Zack Barbery. As always, thanks to the band and Emmet for continuing down the MF path with me. Album drops on Tuesday, the original music day.
All proceeds from digital sales or anything beyond the $8 cost you spend on the tape will be donated to Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition
