Expectation vs Reality. Looks calm right? In reality, Alvin was asking Maomao to stop lying on him. He gave up in the end so the cat enjoyed his snooze. Alvin and I recently switched sides on the bed so this is surprisingly the first time I’ve caught this light. Gorgeous.

This piece is one of those “last minute hug Buddha leg” situations. Sat myself down for 5 hours to work on it. Woah the intricacies of the Chinese motifs 🫠. That said, I’d take the motifs any day compared to the hands. Please don’t zoom into the hands. Happy with how the overall piece turned out though~ Worth it for this lovely couple.
