A huge thank you to our incredible host, Jasmine Espy, whose grace and insight guided us through the day. The chemistry between Jasmine and Dr. Brandie Bentley was pure fire—two powerful voices bridging the vitiligo and HS communities with empathy and intelligence. We dove deep with Dr. Rich, who reminded us that even superheroes in lab coats are human (who only took one sick day in 15 years 😮💪). Charleston forever has a piece of my heart. 🤍 It gave me life at a time when life was life’n. The greenery , colorful homes, culture, architecture, and sense of community really made me feel like I was home in Louisiana. I was elated to reconnect with my forever sis from Tech School, LaShawn @devine_diva aka Shirley. We have been bonding like two old hens since the day we became roommates 8 years ago. 😂Just enjoying each other’s company. So Shirley is the nickname we call each other. It was really dope getting to experience her roots and seeing the interconnections of our cultures/heritage. Charleston is so vibrant, but has significantly changed due to gentrification. But one thing that hasn’t change is its spirit. Its energy is still felt on every corner. ✨Charleston’s roots are STRONG. Shirley & Charleston came at a time when I really needed it. She genuinely took care of me (and always has). I’m forever grateful to have experienced this piece of her 🧡 P.S.
