It’s been an absolutely amazing time attending @le_micc in Montreal to share my work. Being selected for the Utopians Program through MICC allowed me to connect with a glorious consortium of artists, producers, presenters and venues of which I never would have had the opportunity otherwise! A little snippet of our creative development SUSTAINED DEFIANCE from this October, supported by the awesome program by @norpalismore - Dinner Party At The End Of The World. This duet development was motivated by the idea of how we embody defiance in moments of crisis… It became an exploration into the multitudes of how we might defy, and sustain defiance; through care, through trust, strength, connection, through letting go and ultimately through uniting. What a pleasure to work with my dearest @billie_wc and @freyjahooper (composition!), and to explore new collaborations with the incredible Poppy Walker + Dom Sullivan translating this form to film. Massive thanks to Norpa for this opportunity to be engaging with incredible local artists on our home turf of the stunning northern rivers - Bundjalung Country - and a big thanks to @golden_thursdays for the beautiful studio space !
