Bridgit Beyer

Today on #MadameArchitect: Bridgit Beyer (@bridgitbeyer ), an architectural photographer and filmmaker based in New York City, with a background in photography and sculpture from @bardcollege .  Bridgit’s work celebrates the artistry of designed spaces and has appeared in publications like The New York Times Magazine, Architectural Digest, Architectural Record, Dwell, Surface, and Metropolis. She has collaborated with clients such as The Met, MoMA, Prada, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, OMA, DS+R, 2x4, Cornell University, and ESI. In her conversation with Julia Gamolina (@julia.gamolina ), Bridgit talks about living authentically and building a body of work, advising those just starting their careers to hone in on their unique perspective. Experience the "alchemy of the moiré" on Fifth Avenue. Prada and 2×4 have enveloped the brand’s New York flagship in a seafoam-green installation that breathes with the city. Using a lightweight, fiber-based paper typically reserved for the theater, the facade generates a rippling optical effect that shifts between a solid monolithic block and a translucent veil. As night falls, internal lighting transforms the standard pipe scaffolding into a glowing urban lantern, creating a stark, vibrant contrast against the Manhattan sky.
