This is by far my most loved images and findings. This is an undescribed Lacebug (Tingidae), that just happened to be found on my favorite stretch of boardwalk on my tour route that I have named 'Bug Alley'. These beautiful tiny bugs are in huge numbers and can be found all year round. As they don't have a name yet, the nickname 'Midgey Bridgey' has stuck. I look forward to sharing more photographs of these over time. Included in this post are the adults and various stages of instars, mating, and my thumb in the shot to show size. 🤣

Fleeting Fairies, 2026
Archival pigment inks on paper
This macro photograph captures the fleeting beauty of Fairy Inkcaps (Coprinellus disseminatus), a species that exists on the edge of impermanence. Emerging in delicate clusters, these tiny mushrooms—no more than 12mm tall—appear almost overnight, glowing pure white before softening into subtle shades of bluey grey as they mature, often disappearing within just 48 hours. I’m drawn to subjects like this that most people overlook—small, short-lived, and easily missed. Through macro photography, I aim to transform these quiet forest details into something immersive and intimate, inviting the viewer to slow down and notice the extraordinary within the ordinary. There is a sense of fragility here, but also resilience—life thriving briefly, yet beautifully, in the margins.

One of the worlds most beautiful beetles, and also known as one of the fastest land animals in relation to their size. Manages to find two together on the Singapore leg of the Feb/March trip.
