Accessibility Notes: Cassette is accessible via two flights of stairs with a railing. The venue is 21+. There are two single-occupancy gender neutral bathrooms in the space, one of which is mobility accessible. 🪐🎂 It’s our birthday!! 🎂🪐Saturday, September 20th at 8pm at Cassette - come see Feed Me (Git It!) by Brianne Bombshell, back by popular demand after her showstopping performance at UC: DIRT!!! Feed Me (Git It!) is a burlesque act performed to the popular song from the movie-musical Little Shop of Horrors. Brianne will embody the infamous blood-thirsty plant as he attempts to tempt & seduce Seymour into feeding him the blood he needs to grow. Content notes: Canon-typical blood, domestic violence (during the interlude you can hear Audrey being abused). 📸 to @__selle from Bri’s DIRT performance in June
🎂🪐🪐🎂 Brianne writes: After seeing The Force Stripes Back (a star wars burlesque experience) last summer, it sparked an interest in me to try burlesque with my own nerdy twist. I realized burlesque doesn’t have to be performed with just jazzy, sultry tracks. Burlesque could also be a bit silly & funny too! After seeing Little Shop of Horrors on Broadway soon after, an idea was born. Now here I am actually using a song from arguably the best off-beat horror comedy musical ever created to do burlesque. Little Shop of Horrors was one of the movies that shaped my upbringing & I’m honored to do homage to do with my performance.

In June I did something I honestly never in a million years dreamed I’d actually do. I performed my first burlesque piece! This is HUGELY out of my comfort zone, but if the last few years have taught me anything, it’s that life is short, you have to take some chances/try new things you're interested in & the value of doing something, even if you’re terrified. Little Shop of Horrors was one of the movies that shaped my upbringing & I'm honored to do homage to it with my performance 🌿💃🏿
