2025: A Year in Entertainment 1) Revisiting the role of “The Woodcutter” in Rashomon. Always great to start the year creating with friends! 2) Plenty of production work this year… SNL 50 being among the higher profile events. Cher, Lady Gaga, David Byrne, Devo, the B52s… it was quite the night! 3) Directed Broadway Barkada’s New Musicals concert for Prospect Theatre’s Ignite Series. Mabuhay! 4) The Monkey King on the road! Performed in Del Ray, Florida at Arts Garage… taking on not only “Demon of Havoc”, but also “Dragon King of the Sea”. 5) My first time Associate Talent Producing for YouTube’s 20th Anniversary Brandcast. Huge job! But great to flex some new skills! 6) Was on the selection panel and also directed the incredible song cycle Where We Are for National Asian Artists Project’s Discover New Musicals series. A clear highlight of the year! 7) The Artist’s Way… completing my third round tomorrow! Still works! Some incredible serendipity! Always new lessons learned. I will always champion this book! 8) I got to perform “NYC” as Daddy Warbucks for NAAP’s inaugural holiday concert. I was obsessed with the Annie movie growing up. Is this a new role goal? 9) This pic may seem random, but it represents me being bussed to set. Did a handful of extra work gigs this year. This burnt sienna sweater I’m wearing seemed to be wardrobe’s favorite. Look for it on your favorite NYC based TV shows. 10) Always nice to see your name in the credits. With an amusing screen capture image.

2 1/2 weeks later this extraordinary experience still lives on in my head! I was so honored to have been on the adjudication and directing team for @nationalasianartistsproject ‘s Discover New Musicals series. From the moment I read @rcoveymusic ‘s heart warming and human song cycle, Where We Are, I was immediately enamored by it and knew it was the piece I wanted to direct. It spoke to my own personal journey in so many ways and touched me deeply with its message of unexpected paths and fated destinations. Where we are is where we are meant to be. This creative team. This cast. This moment. What a blessing it was to have the Universe hand me this GIFT! As the song goes… the gift is ours to borrow. But I know its impact will continue to give back to me over and over again. Thank you to @baayork , @ninazoie , and especially Steven for always supporting me and feeding my creativity and artistry. Thank you to @rcoveymusic , @xun.ruiran , and Anita for being the best collaborators and humans around. Thank you to @jencattv , @thisiskennedy , @colesisser , @dannybaeofficial , @james._.wong , @ctoyj , @terijoyeaux , @vikasvenuofficial , @contrarychameleon , and @kevinshiu_ for sharing your extraordinary talents and for your willingness to play around for a few weeks. And thank you to @eric.bondoc for capturing the evening so beautifully with your lens. I will treasure these images forever! The journey’s a story that makes sense of WHERE WE ARE. What a journey it’s been! Grateful.

Well, this first day of school photo hits differently. In life, often the journeys we embark on, are filled with unexpected surprises, detours, obstacles, and the unknown. And it is these twists in our path that create the moments we hold on to the most. They define us, inform our choices, and let us know that WHERE WE ARE is where we are meant to be. Ain’t that the truth!
